I would have focal seizures before I got them under control. My mom would say that it would be like I “wasn’t there”. For the most part I felt pretty aware, it’s just that, for lack of a better explanation, my body would just do what it wanted. Often involving me uncontrollably tensing up, shifting seemingly uncomfortably, and most often, kicking my legs. For the most part, there was no obvious trigger. They mostly happened when I was relaxed (like in the passenger seat of a car, winding down for bed, or actively sleeping). As of now I am once again 2 years seizure free, only this time I’m back on meds

If anyone is in love with Christina Chong like I am and wants to see earlier stuff with her in it there’s a movie called Freakdog from 2008. It’s a horror movie, although imo it isn’t too bad. And I don’t like horror movies. I’ve watched it at least twice now. Also for other nerds, it also has Katie McGrath (Lena from Supergirl/Morgana from Merlin) in it, back when she still had her tongue piercing. The full movie is available for free on YouTube

This movie does involve violent deaths of main characters. I wouldn’t say final destination level violent/gruesome, but definitely unpleasant. There’s drug/alcohol use and a lot of blood. Specifically (at least for me) at 1:01:25, there’s A LOT of blood

Genuinely Robby’s “reprimand” of the paramedics was so valid because that stemi could’ve been so easily diagnosed if they put the leads where they should’ve been. Truly life with partial nudity will always be preferred in circumstances like that. It’s not the same but the several times I’ve ended up in the ER as an adult, I haven’t been fully dressed, but considering during those times, I was actively having seizures I obviously couldn’t care. And the one time I was taken there in that state via ambulance, I was appreciative that they focused on my condition rather than my state of undress, whatever it may have been.

Also really curious now that we have only one episode left, how this is going to play out for Al-Hashimi, getting confirmation that she’s been having seizures. As a diagnosed epileptic myself, it just makes me like her more, because after I was diagnosed I really struggled. I had wanted to go into healthcare beforehand but with the way I was it didn’t seem possible. It’s nice to see that her neurological condition, whether she had it under control or not, hasn’t held her back.

I wonder though, exactly how she was having seizures throughout the day. She doesn’t strike me as the kind of person to just decide to stop taking any meds so I wonder if her neurologist weened her off them (mine did the same), or if her body just adjusted to them and they stopped working or what
