What I find interesting about Phosphorus' backstory is that he chose to become a crime lord after killing Thorne and his men because he most likely believed that that hedonistic lifestyle would provide an escape for him.

The death of his wife and son fucked him up so badly that he became a crazed criminal just so he could numb the pain.
