Summary:
Being the massive TD fan that I am, it was only natural that I would write a fic for it at some point. This one I started in a fit of inspiration a year ago, and it’s been blowing and going ever since. This film and its main character are quite important to me as an art piece and something or someone to think on. This story is my take on what could have happened after the film’s ending, with inspiration taken from both canon and my own interpretations. It was quite an endeavor to work up the courage to post it, as I know OCs are unpopular and the TD fandom is so small, but I was hoping I might try both and do it all justice. It’s also been a lot of hard work, as it is a long fic with a bit of a slow burn and world-building. That being said, it can also be twisty and intense. And at the moment, the fervent climax is creeping up!
If you do read it, please know that this fic, since it’s close to the canon and the time period, consists of touchy subjects every now and then, the language of the time, diverse characters who can have differing ideologies, and a protagonist who is, to put it lightly, a known controversial, ignorant figure. I don’t share any of his views or mindset, but I do write him as the central character, in character. So please read the tags first, and if you decide that’s not what you would like to read about, that’s completely fine. This is a tale that explores plans, schemes, people, their relationships, and life in its peculiarities. Please enjoy :).
