Coilshot is so important to me because I think they definitely would bond over fitness and working out together and shit and like. Coil is. OBJECTIVELY a ticking time bomb. If he wasn’t physically disabled before using crystals, he WILL be after he stops using them. He has overworked and overused his body so much in the name of looks and achievements rather than actual health, this guy is gonna fucking crash and BURN, and I can only imagine Sling would be patient and understanding with him, because he’s not. A jerk.
WHICH ONLY MAKES THINGS WORSE. Coil has internalized ableism like crazy, to the point where he just feels. Absolutely patronized by any attempts to help him. Feels like he deserves ridicule for not living up to his own expectations.
I think I’ve extrapolated SO hard that I’m like three times removed from the canon of the game now but Indon’t fucking CARE. Give me disabled Coil. Give me Coil with a cane. Give me Coil in a wheelchair. Give me Coil with a shit ton of pain meds. Give me disabled Coil and don’t make a joke out of him and I will love you forEVER
One of my favorite tropes (which I WILL be applying to Coil here) is when a character is VERY obvious physically and mentally falling apart but refuses help.
Id love to imagine Coil getting to a point where his body just REFUSES to work with him and he has an internal breakdown
