247hanna:
ft. @247jiae
âI messed up. Again.â Hanna says urgently but quietly when the other female picks up the phone, without wasting time. Her nature is not of a polite woman to start with, especially now she is inside her car in front of their building pressing a sleeve from her shirt she ripped off against the wound on her waist. Itâs nothing too serious and itâs not so deep, but she needed someone to, well, help her since she couldnât go to the hospital and tell them she got this for fighting this man that looked a lot like a mountain bear because she got caught by the surveillance camera when breaking in his little lair.Â
His wife paid Hanna a very good amount of money to find a proof that her beloved husband was stealing money from her company. Because he was so sure his plans were perfect and no one thought he was doing it, the man was careless enough to keep some documents in his fancy office downtown. It took her two weeks to find out about it and she would be able to receive her money today if she managed to get these papers he kept inside the thrid drawer of his desk, but she, too, was too full of herself and ended up messing up and being caught. Her fighting skills were not enough to finish the job with success as the devil was holding a Swiss Army knife.Â
If she had options, Hanna would pretty much rather deal with it without involving her friend, but that wasnât the case. She didnât manage to learn how to give herself stitches yet, and she also couldnât go to a hospital and explain how it happened without involving police and many other things that would only make her life more miserable and complicated. On the other hand, Jiae, her closest friend, was the perfect solution for this bad situation. Hanna grasps the fabric sheâs holding, fighting the pain. It was good enough she drove all her way back home safely, but now she needs help. âMy car is parked in front of the building. Can you come here?â She groans with pain, starting to feel her hands tremble. âI-Iâm kinda⊠hurt.âÂ
Jiae was usually someone who slept well throughout the night (provided her sugar levels werenât interfering with her) and not a soul would be able to wake her up until she was good and ready. Of course, there was always an odd situation here and there that proved differently.
Her phone was usually on vibrate and she usually made sure to put it on a surface where the vibrations werenât too ridiculously loud but for some reason, as her phone went off, Jiae woke up right away and grabbed her phone. âHello?â the words were practically slurred out and Jiaeâs eyes were closed still, so she wasnât even sure who she had just answered the phone for but she heard a familiar voice and a part of her pointed out that no one else would call this late except her.Â
As she spoke again, Jiae began to really wake up now and her tiredness was replaced with concern. âHurt how?â she asked, sitting up in bed now and trying to throw on enough clothes so that she would at least be warm. âJust....hold on Hanna, Iâll be there soon,â she promised her friend before she hung up and hurried down to the front of the building.
It took her a moment before she spotted her friendâs car and she hurried over and tapped on the passenger side window. âHanna, what happened? Whatâs going on?â

yijoo247:
@247jiae
As a fan of Halloween and all things spooky, Yijoo wouldnât miss all the festivities, so naturally, when she got a word of Lotte Worldâs newest attraction in celebration of this grim holiday, she knew she has to check it out, especially the horror mazes. But, as much as she loves her adrenaline rush, she isnât ballsy enough to do it by herself. Itâs contradicting at best. If someone suggests a horror movie marathon or going to haunted houses, she would undoubtedly be the first one to throw her hand up in agreement. But when the fright has her jumping, whimpering and screaming like a little girl, she instantly regrets her eagerness and decision earlier, wondering why in the world she would put herself through this. Is she maybe a masochist?
Stands in line for the mazes with her arms crossed, Yijoo glances around the crowd in amusement park impatiently. Her frown becomes more apparent as she gets closer to the front. Where the hell are her friends? If they decide to bail her last second, she swears to Holy Mother, there will be dead bodiesâ
Fantastic. Her phone is ringing. âWhat now?â She snaps.
Iâm sorry, but Kaeun and I canât go tonight. Something came up.
She fucking knew it. These hoes ainât loyal. âAnd you decide to tell me this now? The plan has been made for a week, you all know how much Iâve looked forward to this! Thanks for ruining this for me, bitches! I hope Freddy Krueger appears in your dream tonight and murder you brutally!â She shouts at the girl on the other end of the line. Not caring that everyone has heard her wishing a merciless painful death on someone. Â Fuming, she shoves the device inside her disco pantsâ back pocket, steps away from the line.Â
Fuck this. She is getting ice cream.
The night was surprisingly warm and Jiae found herself craving some ice cream. She had eaten earlier on and there was still enough time to have this little snack without having to check her sugar levels. Jiaeâs mouth watered as she thought about what she wanted and when it finally came to her turn in line, she ordered a medium cone chocolate and vanilla twist with sprinkles.Â
Although the girl was 25 years old, she was still very much a child, apparently.
Jiae happily began munching on her ice cream, quickly working away at it as it seemed to begin to melt rather quickly and before she knew it, the cone in her hand was gone and a satisfied and happy Jiae was all that remained.
It was then that Jiae noticed a girl who seemed to be by herself and by the looks of it, she seemed rather annoyed. Normally, Jiae would shrug it off and hope for the best for them but since the ice cream left her in such a good mood, she found herself calling out to the woman.
âHey there!â she greeted her. âYou doinâ alright? You seem a little....unhappy.â

parkminjae247:
Minjae chuckled and right after a painful hiss left his lips. âThereâs a reason why I called you Jiae, I know your a fucking nurse.â and thankful he was for that. Heâd always pester her about taking such a low paying education and job, but right now he was very pleased that one of his closest friends knew what to do with his beaten self. Minjae puts his arm over Jiaeâs small shoulder and gently settles against her. He had no idea what he would actually do without her through the years. Even if this was one of the situations they were rarely in - She was a very supportive friend and someone he appreciated more than he could ever tell her.Â
As they headed out of the alley, Minjaeâs body ached more than anything. Heâd done things that day which he wasnât proud of at all and his head couldnât get around any of it. Heâd done things with Choa and Hyejin he never thought he would. Heâd slept with her best friend on several occasions and given a false name only to have it thrown back in his face. As they got to the bench, Minjae sat down and let his eyes drift away from Jiae. He was ashamed of his state, ashamed that she had to come and rescue him when he was the one who said he would rescue her.. Then again, he wouldnât mind being rescued by her.Â
âI spent the day with Hyejin and Choa, I did things I never thought I would before I followed it up by getting pissed and fucking Choaâs best friend.â The words tumbled out of his mouth and his eyes connected with hers again. âI fucked up so much even you would hate me this time Jiae.â he chuckled with a painful smile. Heâd done so much shit that day that the tears falling from his eyes were tears of regret. Years of regret for what heâd done all those years ago, for giving up to his family and becoming their puppy instead of who he was. âI feel like shit.â he murmured as his eyes dropped to his hands, covered in dirt and blood. He didnât bother with that, he was bothered with the waves of shame, crashing into his mind, tearing him a part by the seems.Â
His usual sarcastic manner was present, which was a good sign for Jiae. It meant he wasnât too badly injured since he had it in him to be like his usual self.
Jiae wasnât sure how much she would hound her friend to try and figure out what had happened to him but when he began to speak and the words came tumbling out of his mouth, Jiae was more than surprised. Choa and Hyejin: they were both names that she knew and she thought of the poor little girl who had been crying in the hospital and her worried mother who insisted the father didnât need to know of her injury. Of course, even though Minjae was one of her dearest friends, she wasnât going to bring up that issue.
She was silent as she cracked open the bottle of soju and began mopping up the mess on his face, knowing that no doubt, the alcohol would burn the boy and cause him to suffer a little. âDespite how long youâve know me....you really donât know me that well, do you?â she said in what was an attempt to seem light hearted and she offered a small smile. âI donât hate you. I mean, you didnât do me wrong but....what you did is shitty,â she said, knowing that maybe he didnât want to hear this but Jiae was always going to be honest. âYou look like shit,â she joked, trying to cheer her friend up a little even though she knew it might be difficult.
Jiae focused on the task at hand, trying not to say much so that Minjae wouldnât have to talk much and be in too much pain but after a while, when she managed to clean up his face and stop the bleeding and worked on tidying everything up she asked, âwhy did you do it, Minjae? What pissed you off so much that you did something like that?â
bruises and forgotten letters
kyungri247:
She follows the woman, keeping a distance that is comfortable to her until reaching an empty room. There was nothing worse than to be stuck inside a room with someone else if it wasnât for work. These people impose with questions that lead to more personal questions when all she wants is one thing. At least her clients ask questions, but they quickly become slurs and then gentle moans. It is easier and she gets what she wants quicker while here it becomes an obstacle. She sits down as directed and watches the woman close the door and turn to her direction.
Her stomach hardens, but she keeps her composure calm and collective. âIâm a dancer and I have important events coming up soon and I need pain killers just to ease up the pain until the performances are over.â Her eyes unwavering as she speaks, watching the woman attentively in order to plan her next move. For now the other shouldnât suspect, but it is always difficult with new people she had to deal with. Usually doctors in small clinics are easier to cheat, but Kyungri could not afford to go very far this time. The fights have been coming consecutively and she needed something fast and effective.
Jiae wasnât sure why, but her clear and concise statement surprised her. Usually people werenât sure what was wrong and usually they came asking for help, it was very rare for someone to come to the hospital and state exactly what they wanted the way this girl was now.Â
âAh, is that so?â she said, looking at the girl. She was beautiful and she was thin and looking at her physique, she definitely did look like a dancer, but she knew better than to simply take her word for it. Besides, she was a nurse and she couldnât write prescriptions, she would need a doctor to do that.Â
âWhat kind of pain are you experiencing? Where is it located?â she asked, because of course, even if the girl said it was because of dancing, that didnât mean that this was the case. For all they knew it was something more serious and it was simply mistaken as something that happened while the girl trained.Â

247jiho:
â â â jiho smiles and hiding the urge to laugh when one of the nurses literally helping him out in this situation, itâs makes thing a little easier for him to talk to jiae. he should go and thank nurse cho later. when jiae accepted the flower, jiho canât help but to feel a little relief that she doesnât throw it away or simply reject it. he will be too heartbroken if she do that. â great, â jiho says, he canât contain the happy feeling inside him and canât contain himself to not smiling too widely at her. awkwardly lead her the way â some how itâs nice to feel fine sometimes and mean it. there are so many things he want to ask but too afraid to do so. he want to know if she is happy to see him, he want to tell her that she doesnât need to worry, and no need to lie. he want to ask if she in love with someone? he want to ask if she still in lve with that person she dated back in high school. he want to as if she miss him because jiho miss her. a lot. but then again she probably better off not remember her or miss him after what happened back then.
his smile replaced with biting his own lips and drowning in his own imagination of horrible what if. why is smiling make him hurt twice as much as the day he shouted her to go away? why is he feeling so blue all of the sudden? he should have smile, being happy because he can talk to jiae again. he should have say something but here he is leading their way to the front gate of the hospitalâfinding his way to the nearest restaurant they can visit. â soâ how are you.. jiae? â
Jiae was silent and so was Jiho as they headed to wherever it was that Jiho wanted them to go. It was funny how she seemed to feel nothing in that moment. The usual joy and elation that came at the sight of her friend wasnât there and it was funny to think how quickly things could change, and how quickly the people closest to you could change.Â
There was still a part of her that did worry about his health, because he had told her his secret and with his condition and a part of her was a little pleased that now, as a nurse, she would be able to actually do more than she did when they were in high school. But entertaining that idea would mean that they got along again and that they were friends and clearly, right now, they werenât anything.
âIâm fine,â she responded with a shrug and paused for a moment knowing that she should at least attempt to be a little more social. âI canât really complain. I got a good job,â she said, knowing this wasnât that great but it was better than simply stating that she was fine. âAnd you, Jiho?â
trouble makers
yixing247:
Yixing can only laugh at the nervous stream of questions coming from Jiae once heâs divulged to her that they could go ask for an autograph. Glad that the start of the music helps her calm down, he merely continues on putting his earplugs in and then focuses his gaze on the stage. When Jiae leans in once more, he turns to her and tries his best to make out what sheâs saying. He doesnât try to respond, however, but just smiles and nods, before reaching out to take hold of her hand.
Sheâs probably going to want to squeal and cheer and all that, so perhaps having his hand to squeeze as hard as she can will help her not make too much noise. He might have to go to the hospital after, but those are small things compared to giving a friend of his the chance at enjoying herself at a concert of her favourite band.
As the music starts playing and the band starts performing, Yixing goes quiet, eyes taking in the performance as well as the way the lights play over the stage and give it all an even more exciting vibe. Itâs definitely well-executed, but by now heâs put together so many performances that he doesnât actually need much advice on lighting anymore.
Still, for the sake of their cover, he keeps occasionally turning his head to the people controlling the lights and to see what Seonwoo at his side is doing. He lets Jiae just enjoy the entire concert without trying to distract her any more. Although he canât help his body from moving to the music occasionally, the dancingâs just in his blood after all.
When Yixing took her hand, Jiae turned and smiled at her friend and gave it a gentle squeeze. It was as though this simple gesture channeled his energy into her, helping her to calm down and not get too crazy as she watched the performance from the side of the stage.
The show was better than anything Jiae could ever dream of and when she felt Yixing moving, she turned to see him dancing and she chuckled. She knew exactly how he felt and it was easy for the music to consume you and make you move, but Jiae resisted as best as she could, she knew if she started dancing it would definitely cause a scene and make people suspicious.
Eventually, the show came to an end and Jiae let go of Yixingâs hand and applauded quietly with the audience, pleased at the chance of a lifetime. Jiae took out the earphones and turned to face Yixing. âWow...â she said, the smile on her face was huge and she felt as though she looked like a clown. âJust...wow. That was so much better than I expected it to be.â

shinhye247:
Shinhyeâs glad when Jiae agrees to go grab some street food, and so she easily sets for that direction. Listening to the other woman speak, thereâs a permanent amused smile on her face and the occasional chuckle leaves her. Especially at the joke part about taking extra cash to let minors sneak in. âYes, well, I value my job so Iâm not going to do that. But Iâll keep it in mind should I ever end up in a more shady type of club.â
She waves off the subject easily, not at all embarrassed that sheâs even thinking about the option. Letting a minor into a club is one of the things lower down on her list of stuff sheâd be afraid to get herself into. As long as she would keep a good eye on the kids and make sure nothing bad happened to them, allowing them a night of fun in a club was the last thing to be worried about.
Her smile turns warmer and grateful when Jiae talks about her books and writing and she nods her head lightly. âYeah, I hope so too. Itâs been a lifelong dream to become a writer, really, so having even one book published is already a lot. I think Iâm set for life when it comes to feeling accomplished.â She lets out another short laugh, then shrugs her shoulders lightly. âNot that Iâm saying more sales and more fame wonât be appreciated, of course.â
Her grin lingers on her features as they reach the first street food stand, and Shinhye lets her eyes travel over the things they have there. âThis to your liking?â she questions Jiae, waiting for a response from the woman before theyâd decide to get something or try one of the other stalls.
Jiae chuckled. âSuit yourself. We could split it as a deal so that you do it only when Iâm working and they can only get drinks from me...but honestly, I think weâd be more likely to get caught doing that then....well, what we did before,â she said, trying to make light of the situation.
Of course, Jiae always needed more money but she knew she could easily work harder at getting tips at the bar and pick up shifts and work overtime at the hospital too. Although it wasnât necessarily quick cash, it was better to go about it this way.
âWell see, thatâs a good thing,â Jiae said, nodding and pleased at this type of outcome for the girl. âOh, more fame and sales is always much needed...if we didnât need these things to get by in life, it wouldnât be an issue but a girlâs gotta make a living too!â Jiae playfully nudged Shin Hye. They both knew very well what a girl had to do to make a living.
Jiae looked at the truck before them, seeing the menu and nodding. âIt works for me,â she said, giving her a thumbs up. âThere are a few here so we can snack as we go down or just stick with one, itâs totally your call....but before we eat I....need to go to the bathroom.â More so because she needed to check her sugar levels and give herself insulin before she began to pig out.
.Change of path
247hyuk:
Taking a seat, Hyuk looked around at the bright surrounding that seemed to clash with his heavy presence and the redness of the blood that dribbled down his face. It seemed too light for him and when his eyes traveled back to Jiae, he noted that it seemed too light for her, too. But maybe it was just his mind playing games on him, reminding the man of their meetings where no alive spirit could see them and the weight of the goods she offered him.
âYou know what I mean,â he rolled his eyes a little, feeling wetness seeping past his brow and his leather hand coming up to catch the substance before it hit his eye. As Jiae continued talking, though, a silent understanding dawned that she knew exactly what the meaning behind his own short-lived words was. He could only hum at her response, the expression he supported giving away the fact that he could not find a part in him that would easily agree to the little reasoning the woman gave him. âIâd say itâs good money. So I think you could have done it.â Shaking his head with an awkward smile he watched her gather whatever she needed to treat him. âI was wondering where you disappeared.. Do you even know how hard it was for me to find another d,-â he cut himself off before he could speak too much, eyes wandering away from Jiae and towards the door. He might have been an indifferent person, but he would never want to draw dark clouds over anyone who didnât do any wrong to him. In fact, Jiae was the biggest help he could have asked for in the past. âYou know the end of that.â He added after a prolonged pause. âDid you work here when you⊠You know? Was this your stash?â The question was almost blunt, yet, for any unwanted ears it wouldnât have made any sense.
Her question seemed to humor him, wrinkles appearing by his eyes as a deep, quiet laugh escaped him. âYes, I do still do that thing in preparation for my fights and right before them,â he answered the silent question directed at him, confirming that he was still half-fake when it came to fighting. âAnd I still fight, as you can tell,â he moved his hand form his eyebrow to look at the blood gathered on there. Frowning slightly at the view, the man hissed after grimacing, his hand flying back up to touch the wound. âWill this scar?â The question fell out leisurely, like it was just another day in Hyukâs like as he looked back at Jiae. Because, in fact, it was just another day in his life. Another day, another injury. Just like an animal like him deserved.
Jiae worked quickly, trying her best to stop the blood from dribbling past his eyes and she held a clean cloth at the source of the wound, applying pressure in hopes of stopping the bleeding. It was likely he would need a few stitches, but she wouldnât know for sure until she examined the wound.
âI could,â she nodded, knowing that he was right as much as he hated to admit it. âBut I canât hide in shadows and Iâd need a real job to cover it up anyway. It was always meant to be a temporary gig,â she stated, because of course he never knew why she did what she did. Jiae had only been the one he called when he needed his fix (or called her higher ups and she was the one who always delivered) and she did as she was told. It wasnât a meeting that was meant for them to become friends and get to know each other as though they were friends out for coffee. They were never friends. They were always the supplier and the client, nothing more.Â
At his words and this his question, Jiae remained silent, focusing on her work and she let out a sigh and shook her head. âNo, it came from elsewhere,â she stated simply. It didnât matter where it was, because those who were determined to find their fix, would. Jiae had disappeared without a trace, that was true. Being under the influence wasnât something she agreed with necessarily, but who was she to say so when she was the one helping people with their habits? Yes, she had made it difficult for them but she hoped that for some, that would help them get themselves together, but Hyukâs words worried her into thinking that for him, that wasnât the case.
Jiae simply nodded as he confirmed that he still did so. Sometimes, people didnât see a reason for themselves to stop, but that was their problem and not hers. She wasnât going to bother him about it. Jiae gently smacked his hand away as he reached for the wound. âYour hands are dirty, donât touch it,â she scolded him. âYou donât want to risk getting an infection, it could turn that beautiful face of yours absolutely ugly,â she said it as a joke, but in truth, you never knew what a bad infection would do.Â
âThat depends on whether or not you need stitches...it seems to be slowing down in bleeding, but youâre still bleeding a fair bit....after we patch you up Iâll probably keep you here to make sure you donât pass out from blood loss.â

kyungri247:
@247jiaeâ
She steps out of the restroom after refreshing her makeup that covered her tear stained cheeks and ruined corners of her eyes and lips. It was stupid of her to believe her wanted to spend some time together but she believed it more than anything. Instead it was an errand he wanted and the errand she did which resulted in a shattered wish and messed up makeup. She was used to the first, but the second was unacceptable.
âNothing that a drink could fix.â She thinks to herself, making her way towards the Nurseâs Blood Pub to get her mind off things for the rest of the night.
It hurt to overthink. It hurt she ditched Sumin. It hurt he didnât want her there. It hurt to be alone. In this time and place, being alone is the last thing on anyoneâs mind. People here come to have fun and it was the main reason she came here with Sumin. She wanted to see her enjoy herself and now it had all gone to waste.
Her gaze shifts to the people gathered in one of the rides, watching as people laugh and scream in joy. Families held their cameras out while couples held hands as they waited in line. As her sight falls on a face seen not long ago, at a hospital to be more accurate. It hadnât been pleasant for Kyungri in the beginning, but things between them had simmered down, at least as much as possible. There were still feelings of uneasiness when she looks at Jiae, but she is feeling amiable and that didnât matter at this moment.
âJiae~â Kyungri drapes her arm over her shoulders, stumbling only slightly after her eager walk towards her. âItâs been a while.â Sheâs looking at the ride and the people inside. Itâs the ride she couldnât go with SuminâŠÂ âLetâs get on, câmon.â She says, pulling her with the arm around her and an unwilling mindset to do anything else at the moment. âItâs time to knock off one from our bucket list.â
It had come to a point in the evening where Jiae found herself watching others enjoy the attractions. She got the thrill secondhand as she heard the riders scream and laugh in joy and with each group that passed, she wanted to get on but she was always reluctant in doing so. Truthfully, it scared her a little and secondly, she was alone, which definitely wasnât fuelling her to get on.
Then, she heard a familiar voice calling her name and she turned just in time to see a familiar face up close and an arm draped over her shoulder. âOh!â she said, surprised and upon looking more closely (much closer than needed, to be honest, but given the space they were in, she did what she could) she recognized her as a patient she had treated.Â
That moment was stuck in Jiaeâs mind, she remembered seeing things that she wasnât supposed to and the alarm at the girlâs reaction to it, but she seemed to be doing fine now...she simply hoped that it wasnât an act though. âKyungri-ssi! Itâs good to see you again,â Jiae smiled at the other girl.
âWhat? You want to get on?â Jiae said, surprised, but she didnât protest as Kyungri dragged her towards the line. âJust now? Like...right now?â It was silly to ask, since yes, she did mean right now but again, Jiae wasnât going to protest. She had been intrigued enough to want to join anyway and now, she had someone to go with.

taemin247:
his eyebrow shoot up, interestedâfinding out that any good costume can be done cheaply is always an amazing occurrence and definitely something he wants to know more about. not that he could ever dress up like marilyn monroe though of course, but heâs usually the one to splurge way too much money on an outfit. âoh really? ahh i should take lessons from you then, i never can seem to stay within budget when it comes to costumes,â he laughs and then raises his phone. âdo you mind? can we take some photos?â
when she mentions about his set though, he blushes a bit and nods proudly. âyeah that was my crew. iâm so glad you liked it, we practiced really hard.â he is beaming now, the smile on his face impossible to deny or wipe off. âweâre supposed to be starting up again in a few minutes, but i wandered away because i was hungry.â he looks around to the stands, all of them candy stuff. he wants meat, and that reminds him he still has to find something in the next five minutes.
Jiae chuckled at the boyâs words. âReally? I canât promise I can help much...it really just depends on the costume youâre looking for but without a doubt Iâll do my best to help,â she assured him, and she knew that even if the task was difficult, she would find a way to make it so that he would stay in his budget. âAh, photos? Youâre making me feel like a celebrity~â she joked, but agreed to take photos with the boy.
âIt shows!â she said, giving him a thumbs up. âI donât think I could ever do it that well, so itâs more impressive because itâs definitely an above average performance,â she nodded. The smile on his fae as so endearing and sweet, Jiae was tempted to just hug him tightly and simply protect the boy but alas, that was a bit of a jump forward having only just met. âAh, food? Well hey, lets go eat together then. Itâll be my treat. Iâm not a picky eater so you can pick what you want.â

247shiwoo:
When he was sure the person behind him wasnât a creepy monster, but the lovely nurse that has been taking care of his mother for some time now, his heartbeat started to slow down a bit, which probably avoided him to faint in that moment, yet he was as pale as the scary creature or her sick patients. With the free hand over his chest while the other held the flashlight, Shiwoo let out a small, embarrassed laughter.Â
âYeah, thatâs me. The one and only.â He says with a chuckle. What a weird place to meet the nurse, but of course, people who take care of otherâs health can have this kind of fun too. Her assumption made him laugh again. It would be nice to be brave, but the truth was the opposite, he was dying inside, hating every second of it. Shiwoo shook his head. âBrave? No, not really. Iâm lost mine too, so Iâm trying to get out of here.â He told her, too tired of this maze to pretend to be some tough guy.Â
He heard her scream a few seconds ago, yeah, but her presence somehow brought him some comfort, probably because everything she did for his mother and even him. In his mind she appeared to help him once again, which was funny considering both of them were clearly scared to death. âShall we go together? Thatâs how people survive places like this, right? In groups?â That was kind of a joke, but he didnât want to go alone or leave her behind by herself. âI canât promise to protect you, but at least I can make you company.â He said, making it clear that he wasnât some fake monsterâs slayer.Â
âLetâs go? I want to leave as soon as possible before my heart stops.â Shiwoo asked, waiting for her answer to start walking again.
A sigh of relief escaped Jiaeâs lips when he confirmed that it was in fact, him that she was seeing. But he could be some sort of spirit pretending to be Shiwoo to get me, a small voice told her, but she shoved that voice aside. Things like the supernatural didnât exist and werenât real, after all, it was just the vibe that this event gave off that tended to make the mind wander.
âAh, really? What luck,â she chuckled, shaking her head at the odds. âIâm glad I bumped into someone I know as oppose to a stranger, but what are the odds both of us would lose our group? To be honest, I think theyâre the scaredy cats because weâre still here and they took off without us. Iâm sure they must realize weâre not there anymore, right? But they probably just kept going.â
If anything, in Jiaeâs eyes it meant they were both brave, because they were still there and chatting in that odd environment as though they simply had run into each other at the park instead of in the middle of a corn maze.
At his offer, Jiae was relieved and didnât hesitate to nod her head. âOh, for sure! Itâs more fun with more people too!â she insisted, although really, she was scared to go alone. âThatâs fine, thatâs fine~ Iâll protect you,â she joked, but she was also serious....provided she didnât get too scared.
Jiae nodded again and paused before pressing forward, trying to peek around corners to see if anything was there before continuing. âDo we keep going slow like this or do we make a run for it and risk getting injured?â she whispered, not wanting to reveal her master plan to the monsters lying in wait.
sprained and possessed
@taemin247
Jiae hadnât known Taemin for very long, but since their last encounter not so long ago, the two seemed to get along fairly well. So it came as no surprise when the two had agreed to meet up and go to the Everland Horror Village.Â
âYou know, these kinds of things are always exciting,â she said as they entered the park, in awe of the decorations around them. âI think Halloween and Christmas are the holidays people go all out for with this stuff, but with Halloween you can just really get into it, you know?â
Jiae had looked over the attractions beforehand and she had a fairly good idea of things she was interested in, but now that they were here, it was hard to decide where she wanted to go first.Â
âSo, Taemin-ah, what do you want to do first? Shall we go to an attraction? Do you want food first? Do you want to just keep walking around for now? Weâve got the whole night ahead of us.â

A frown briefly crossed his features when she said he hadnât done anything wrong. Truth was heâd done everything wrong. He was the cause for them breaking up in the first place. Cursing the younger version of himself once again for having been so stupid and insecure back then, Yonggukâs gaze went down toward the ground as she said he didnât love her. Those words hit him harder than lightning ever could. Slumping in his spot in what must be defeat, his shoulders turned themselves inwards as he leaned a bit forward. Looking as if he just had been dealt a blow in his stomach, truth was the blow had been delivered to his heart. It making him feel like his chest was in pieces.
Remembering how he indeed had told her he didnât love her in order for her to hate and leave him, to his knowledge Jiae had only done the second part. Staring down at the ground without really seeing it, images of that last talk they shared in his bedroom came back in full force. Those images mingling with the words she spoke in the present, Yongguk closed his eyes in order to gather himself and shake off the feeling like he was falling.
The past is the past after all.
Agreeing up to a certain point with her, there was only one problem. He didnât want to leave the entire past in the past. There were a couple of things he wanted her to know. Perhaps she didnât want them to know, but he had to tell her. He felt like she had to know. One thought burning in his mind the lawyer turned his head lightly to the right as he closed his eyes tight shut. âItâs not true.â He spoke, his voice filled with his pain and regret. âItâs not true.â He repeated himself, sounding way more determined -like he had a cause-, a moment later as he opened his eyes, straightened up and turned his head fully to her again. âI loved you.â
âI lied back then, Jiae.â He spoke softly. âI shouldnât have. Itâs all my fault we ended.â He swallows. Hard. âWe shouldnât have ended. We should have started something. I was afraid of telling you the truth.â Shaking his head lightly, regret and the feeling of love he remembered he carried with him for her basically oozed out of him. âAbout my family. I didnât see any happy future for us at the time. I wanted you to be happy. I made a stupid decision. Iâll regret it until the end.â
The thought hitting him then that he was probably tearing open old and healed wounds for her, Yonggukâs eyes widened lightly in shock. âIâm sorry.â He blurted out, sincerely though. Lifting his left hand to show her he really didnât mean any harm, he continued his apology, âThat was very selfish and totally not appropriate of me.â His hand going up to his head so he could touch his temple with his fingertips he honestly didnât know what he had to say or do now to make this major fuck-up of him right.
Jiae was surprised at the confession as he spoke, and it showed on her face. Her heart hurt when he told her that he had loved her, and that he had lied all those years ago. She simply remained silent, trying to process what she had just heard.
It upset her and it made her angry. They could have had a future together, they might have still been together even now. But no, he lied. She supposed he had a reputation in school, so it wasnât that out of the question for him to do so, but he had hurt her and the friendship that they had all those years was gone.Â
Hearing him having regretted doing so, it pleased her a little, only a little, but too much damage had been done now, and as smart as Jiae was, she had to stop herself from letting her heart respond rather than her head.
After a few moments, she let out a sigh, pulling her gaze away to look at the floor, kicking the ground at nothing in particular. âWell...itâs too late now,â she shrugged. âItâs in the past too. Thereâs nothing we can do about it now. Whatâs done is done,â she spoke, and she wasnât sure if she was trying to convince herself of that or try to reassure him with it. Most likely it was both.
âIt wasnât appropriate,â she nodded. âI told you we could hang out again and you brought up the past. We both moved on, itâs better to just have forgotten about it. There isnât a need to open old wounds and....I know you meant well, but you really didnât help much.â

Finishing with dressing himself Yongguk remained seated on the bed. Trying to find comfort by stroking his own hands and rubbing them together, he stared at the spot where his wall collided with his floor. All of his senses focused on Jiae and how she moved through his bedroom to make sure she had everything she needed and was properly dressed part of him wished this moment would never end. Of course it did. But heâd never imagined it do end in the way it did however.
All of his muscles locking themselves in place it was as if only her voice existed into his world anymore when she spoke. Not fully being able to grasp the meaning of them he couldnât keep himself from looking up at her when she said -so convincingly he might add- that this was the best for the both of them. Apparently she had accepted what he had tried to convince her of and although it had to make him happy that she took his word for it, now it only left a bitter taste in his mouth. The words he had to say to make everything of this right remained stuck in his throat, and thus Yongguk could only watch as the love of his life turned away from him and walked out of his room.
Remaining in his seat, paralyzed, he wasnât sure if it was a good thing or a bad thing if Jiae wasnât going to hate him for what heâd done to them. To their future. Being caught in that thought for quite a while all of a sudden he snapped his head toward his door when suddenly the gravity of his decision hit him with full force. Jiae was gone. He wasnât going to see nor talk to her anymore. Like ever. How was he supposed to continue his life? Deeply regretting his decision, the young boy did not jump up from his bed and run after her however, because a knock sounded on his bedroom door and the head of his mother showed. Knowing he was protecting her and her happiness from the clutches of his family, he thought it was but a maigre comfort for the loss heâs suffering right now. But on the long term it would be better for Jiae so he had to remain strong and bite through this very bitter apple.

@247jiae
Despite his own hidden fears about the Horror Village thing happening because it was October, it wasnât so hard to convince him to go to Everland. Shiwoo is still a child at heart and the whole idea of amusement parks sounded fun - something not usual to change his adult rotine. And while it wasnât dark and everything was pretty much light-hearted, Shiwoo was enjoying it, appreciating the decorations, smiling at the kids dressed up cutely as vampires and Frankensteins, eating these themed snacks and forgetting he had all these boring meetings the next day. Everything was perfectly fine until the said yes to the maze later.
This canât be this scary, he told himself before entering. Not even ten steps ahead, he was already regretting it. âWhy did I spend 5000 KRW on this?â He muttered to himself, walking behind the five people group in the dark. Ugh, he hated it, but now he was in, he had to survive it until the end. Just like everyone else in the group, he screamed loudly at every demoniac creature that appeared to haunt the visitors. They turned left into this new area when a ghoul surprisingly came running in their direction. Shiwooâs first instinct was to run away, tripping over his own feet. The silence made him wonder why was everyone so quiet, then he looked around and the group left him behind - how great.Â
In a sudden act of courage, Shiwoo stood up and decided to look for them. Doing it alone was way worse than in group, thatâs for sure, but his options were limited. Holding the small flashlight like it was the most precious item, he moved forward slowly, afraid he would die if another ugly creature appeared in front of him. When he felt something ominous was about to come, Shiwoo stepped back, trying to prepare himself for it, then something bumped into his back. He instantly screamed at the top of his lungs before turning the flashlight to see what was behind him. âWhoaaâ Jiae-ssi?â He asked, confused. It wasnât the place he was expecting to meet the nurse. Yet, it felt like she came to save him from this misery.Â
Jiae was beyond excited at going to the amusement park. She loved rides and she loved Halloween, but there was no denying that she was someone who easily got scared and would scream and run when things popped out in front of her. Despite this, she was eager to attend, going with some of her co-workers from the hospital.Â
At one point, one of them suggested they go into the maze and they all agreed, not seeing anything wrong with this idea and lined up, talking idly about things from work and their lives before paying their fare and entering the maze. Even though it was outdoors, it suddenly felt so much darker around them and Jiae instantly clung onto the person who was in front of her, practically dragging them back whenever something popped up and screaming in their ear.Â
It went like this for a while before Jiaeâs foot got caught in something, making her let go of the person in front of her and seeing that it was attached to some cables. âAh, come on, really?â she mumbled, thinking that the one in front of her would have noticed that she let go and seen she was stuck. Jiae leaned down and quickly freed herself before standing up and froze and saw that she was left alone. âAh, come on....really?â she said, whining. There was nothing to do no except keep moving forward.
This time, she was much slower, trying her best to catch the things that jumped out before they did so but naturally, failing in doing so. Her attention to the details made her oblivious to the looming figure before her until she bumped into it, sending her heart racing and at the sound of the scream, Jiae jumped back and screamed too, her heart feeling like it was about to explode out of her chest.Â
Then, she heard her name and it took a moment to register who it was before her. âOh....oh. Shiwoo-ssi, is that you?â she said, laughing now because she was embarrassed at her behaviour. He had never seen her outside of work, only ever while she was working. âI see youâre alone too....did you come in here by yourself? Wow...youâre so brave! I could never! I lost my group somewhere back there...â
