- i love bloopers so when they showed the season 7 blooper reel i was ecstatic. the last blooper was of that one scene where everyone is piled up on rachel on the floor in feenys classroom and they are like "come here mr feeny!!!" and feeny gets on the desk to escape but they all hug him and then the desk BREAKS with feeny and everyone on it
- the blooper of matt messing with wills shirt and then will grabbing matts muscles and saying "wow you are toned"
- the costumes were great, average celery cory, veronica wasboisky and cora, shantal dubois and lala, a kushling, they want you to take the rolls!, two cute little topangas

Throuple wedding sounds about right. I fully expect Rider and Danielle raise it once the Pod get to the actual wedding episode :-)
eric matthews in sweaters is something very dear to me
revisiting the eric and tommy arc in bmw is so painful because it just reminds me how much potential eric had as a character that the writers just threw away for no apparent reason.
the thing is, if you look at the earlier seasons he always had the perfect seeds planted and his arc began so strong at the end of his schooling. everytime eric doubts himself during this time he proves over and over again that he is enough. he thinks hes never going to get an A but he wants to work at it, he realises he needs to focus on school to GET his dreams during the whole weatherman thing, even retakes the SATs and actually gets into college. mr feeny even tells him “i have confidence in you, why can’t you have confidence in yourself.” eric might not be the “brightest” but he was ENOUGH.
and then, there’s his heart. the most consistent trait he ever had was how deeply and seriously he cared about everyone around him. cory, jack, his parents, his girlfriends. he even wanted to be a dad to ryan but ultimately realised he wasn’t ready yet. so when tommy comes along, he finally gets to feel like enough because he can make one little kid’s life. and giving tommy up was an incredibly devastating yet mature and necessary step eric takes. it was the perfect intersection of every character trait they had established about him. this was eric proving he didn’t need to have book smarts to be on the right path.
so post season 6, when they literally lobotomise him it’s the hardest blow ever. suddenly, he’s treated like an idiot who adds nothing to the narrative but far over the top idiotic comic relief. suddenly, everyone around him can’t stand it and jack (who loved him “no matter what crazy things he said or did”) is consistently bullying him. the writers take a character who has spent SEASONS learning over and over that he is more than “just an average guy who can skate by on his looks” and will never be smart, is relegated to EXACTLY that. it’s like some sort of sick self-fulfilling prophecy and it’s so cold.
all eric matthews ever wanted in life was a purpose and they couldn’t even give him that.

It was the strangest thing. On one hand, I thought you were the weirdest guy I’d ever met. You said things that made me wonder whether you were being serious or just messing with me. On the other hand, I’d never felt more understood and seen by another human being in my entire life. We clicked in the oddest way.
When I’m stressed and worried, thinking things are just awful, you always find a way to make me smile and laugh. You make me see the bright side of things. Has anyone ever told you that your optimism is really infectious?
You were also the first person to realize I didn’t actually like girls, despite how much I wanted to deny it. You know me better than I know myself. Actually, you know me better than anyone knows me..
You’re my best friend, Eric Matthews. And you’re also the love of my life. We’ve spent all these years together, went through so much together, and now? I’m standing here, marrying the funniest, kindest, most beautiful man I’ve ever met.
