The standout thing in Don't look up for me is the inability of everyone to deal with grief. It doesn't matter if it's:

-The app that recognises when you're sad and loads a cute video

-The news show that is insistant on being positive despite how bad any of the news is

-The centrist chris evans completely removing himself from the argument but centre of the discussion

-The parents that won't let Jlaw in before demanding no politics

Like honestly no one is comfortable with just owning the bad situation they're in. Everyone just wants to be distracted
