I have sm unfinished Yoonsun work that involves her backstory and some oc x canon of her with vin jin, I cannot finish them at all.. Sobs.. No motivation whatsoever with upcoming exams I might as well just drop out consequences be damned.

Jokes aside I'm tryna finish her backstory and hopefully upload it by tmrw or next week so I can move on with her first appearance and her suspicious looking ahh in most of the backgrounds.

She could be seen a lot in the backgrounds whenever Vin Jin's screen time comes to play, mostly in school and mostly she's just seen walking in the halls, is she following him? Is it just a coincidence? This world is small as a pound, after all.

„I’m gonna ditch the shades, got enough of walking around in the dark.” Vin Jin announced in his bedroom, as him and his girlfriend, Otsuyu, got ready for school. Then he snorted self-satisfied “Hey, I could use that for a sick track~”

“Heh~ so will you finally use less-tinted ones?”, she queried, while she was occupied curling her hair. A curious glance fixed his frame in the mirror.

“Nah. They’re gone for good. Nobody bothers me about my eyes…” he explained, while he fiddled with a pair of shades, and a wicked grin formed on his face: “They wouldn’t dare to, anyways~”

Her head turned around abruptly with an alarmed expression, “NO! You can’t do that, Vin!” the pitch of her voice was higher than usually.

In confusion, he lifted an eyebrow and growled: “Sure, I can. I’m gonna make the pieces of shit puke.”

“No! I mean-” With a bite on her lips, she set aside the styling iron, as she turned her body around to him: “-Have you seen yourself?”

“YOU FUCKING-” Vin already started to yell. The sunglasses cracked in his grip, and he steeled his eyes on her menacingly.

But she continued anyways: “You are way too handsome! I won’t be able to focus on studying AND WHAT IF I HAVE TO FIGHT OFF ANYONE WHO WANTS TO DATE YOU NOW?!”

Now it was Vins turn to be flabbergasted. Here he thought that she’d try to baby him or worse. But this was an awesome turn, so he bent forward on the bed he was sitting on and grinned at her, self-satisfied: “What am I? I didn’t catch it the first time~.”

“Vin, you fuck- You heard me alright!” she squealed in embarrassment and crawled towards him to slap his knee.

A mean laugh escaped him, and he grabbed her face to squish her cheeks: “Nope, I reaaaally didn’t listen. Come on, don’t leave me hangin’ now.”

With pursed lips and squinted eyes, she gave in and repeated: “You’re way too handsome and I won’t be able to think about studies…”

“Aaaaaand~?” he prompted and squished her cheeks again; she looked like a fish in his grip.

After a moment of reluctance, she continued: “…What if I have to fight off anyone who wants to date you now…”

His grin grew wider, and he merely commented: “Simp.” Before he bent down to press a smooch onto her, still pursed, lips. He got another weak slap on his knee, which made him chuckle and let go of her face.

When she backed off, she rubbed her cheeks and pouted at him: “You and your gorilla grapple...”

“For you, it’s just baby gorilla~” he teased, making her roll her eyes and comment: “You know, that’s exactly why Mary is disgusted with us. I can’t call you out on shit anymore without you making it weirdly cute.”

“More likely, she just can’t stand YOU being a horrible simp for ME~” he fired back.

“Ugh, shut up-” she groaned in mock-annoyance and turned back to the mirror to finish her hairstyling.

Funnily enough, she didn’t deny it, which inflated his ego more than need be.

A God's Desire

Yoonsun is afraid of hurting Vin, she's self-aware of the things she has done and committed to in the past, and how it can spark up Vin Jin’s trauma. At one point she tried too hard, trying to protect Vin Jin from her shuddering actions which ended up in him thinking that Yoonsun was avoiding him, he was confused and almost hurt, Yoonsun didn’t know that, she was just trying to put a distance between the two of them so the likelihood of hurting her most precious treasure was as low as possible. She didn’t intend to hurt him in the process, that was the last thing she ever wanted. Slamming herself onto the floor while hand grasping her curls tightly she screamed at Vin Jin who stood confused and concerned in front of her. Telling him to piss off and get away from her that she never wants to see him again. No– stop, she didn’t mean any of it, it just came spilling out of her, she just wanted everything to be ok for him– for them both.

It was stupid, honestly to think that this would work between them anyways, no matter what Yoonsun did, she seemed to hurt Vin Jin– always somehow in the end, this wasn’t fair, for once in her life she had thought maybe that her good fortune could come in good use, after all, she was seen as goddess throughout her entire childhood, so why was she only inflicting pain on him– the only person who seen her– for who she truly is and not that goddamn persona that she had played for 12 years. So why, why couldn’t she bring fortune and happiness to Vin Jin? Why must she hurt everyone she ever wanted to protect? What a playful prank the gods had sprung on her. Crumbling her hope and desire to be loved and to live a normal life.

The saying hair holds memories right??? you know how vin jin had buzz off his hair during the time when he was with the cheonliang fam, to forget the memories that held his trauma but also showing a sign of vulnerability and trust towards the people that accepted him. And after that he never cut his hair again, not that we are fully aware of, he could of easily gotten a haircut after his 'training' arc but he never did. Was it because of a fashion statement or was it because of the memories that he never wanted to forget? The times when he actually felt alive and human.

This is my oc Yoonsun, she's supposed to be a oc x canon for lookism, specifically for vin jin. I'm gonna be honest I never had the balls to post about her because I was scared of other opinions and how people would think sighs.. Anyways that all changed when I came across @veilody blog, and honestly bro I fell in love with her artwork and especially her oc ❤️ like genuinely Vin jin can move aside. But like jokes aside your the reason I even had the courage to post this in th first place and honestly looking back, a lot of your work and Design inspired a lot of my work as well and I really really really appreciate you, your work are deadass the most beautiful thing I've seen before.. Overall I'm js in love with your creations and idea KJSSJK Please don't forget to eat and drink water, take care of yourself!!

one thing about ptj's writing that always leaves a bad taste in my mouth is sometimes i feel he doesn't completely grasp the issues of abuse and sexual trauma, mostly and majorly for the female characters, but the male characters too.

take for example mira getting sexually assaulted by the cult leader and camp instructor, zoe's transaction with logan, club vivi, vin'mom being raped and killed by the shaman, sujin being abused and preyed upon and sexually assaulted before getting beaten to death by taejin... ALL of this feels so catatonic, almost unnecessary in its cruelty. this is a horrible world no doubt. but whatever he inflicts to his female characters seems to be done purely for the sake of shock value, almost like an indelible grief or hurt or helplessness a MALE character has to overcome in his path to nirvana. it is never shown what the woman feels about her own violation, no impact of it can be seen on her own life before she dies or simply forgets and moves on (kinda telling of the author's attitude towards how victims ought to react...).

then lets talk about the male victims. daniel gets stalked, goo and gun and eli were all minors who trained under a man who unironically touches people's genitals and brags about doing so, olly gets raped, eli gets groomed (i will not argue here about this one), sinu is shown naked often with the woman who brainwashed him. not mentioned in the comic but should be pondered upon is the fact that jake and jiho were in juvenile prison, a place with alarmingly high rates of sex crimes. dg is an idol who deals with invasive fans (sasaengs in real life are legitimately terrifying). seongji and vin were the ritual vessels for a cult. but this aspect of their trauma gets completely brushed under the rug, as if even alluding to it would take away from their strength and uhhh, masculine nature.
