Greetings, Heart. I am 🌌⚫️☀️ anon, or black-hole sun anon. I have a gift for you.
This flower is called the Lamprocapnos Spectabilis, or more popularly known as the (Asian) Bleeding-Heart, due to the its unique shape: A heart-shaped form with a hanging “teardrop”.
It thrives in partial to full shade, requiring protection from the harsh afternoon sun to prevent scorched foliage and premature dormancy. It goes dormant during late Spring or early Summer, when warm weather sets in.
It symbolizes compassion, sensitivity, loss, and passion—oh, especially passion.
Do not consume this, please. They are not as poisonous as Foxglove and have low-severity toxicity, but it’s still best if you don’t eat it.
If you need help in treating it, I can give a hand.
Farewell.
