Kiyoko fell harder and let me tell you why

Idk if I’m stupid but I came to the realization while brushing my teeth that kiyoko fell for Tanaka bcs they are direct parallels of each other. I was always kind of confused as to why kiyoko married Tanaka bcs they didn’t have much development and she barely showed any kind of reaction to his advances. We also don’t get much development of her character at all compared to the boys of the show until her episode showing her background in season four . Only that after that season did I realize that she and Tanaka are the same person with different outcomes. They’re both acknowledged as average players in their respective sports until kiyoko quit track her last year. It’s difficult to feel passionate about something we love when all we get is negative feedback which is what she felt aka her scars. So she gave up. Tanaka on the other hand in his game against inarizaki faces the same dilemma. He’s an average player compared to everyone else and he’s not getting any points and he burns out. What does he decide to do? He continues and he pushes on to be his best self bcs there’s no reason to give up no matter how mediocre you are. His episode inspired me so much and I have no doubt that kiyoko felt the same way after watching him persevere while facing the same things she did. I think they’re so underrated bcs in the timeskip we can see her without any stockings on proudly displaying her scars and I think that Tanaka was able to bring out the best in her.

The result of me zoning out is always gonna be me thinking too hard about haikyuu with something someone else already has figured out.
