Here's a really quick example of 3D Box Shot Pro in action. This was made on gifsoup,com. You can probably tell that from the "MAKE GIFS AT GIFSOUP.COM" banner that they have plastered over the bottom left of the GIF file. You need to sign up the premium service to remove the banner. However, they do make it relatively simple to make a GIF file from a youtube video. I'll post the full video shortly.

eBook Cover Design and 3D Box Shot Pro

As well as software boxes and DVD cases, 3D Box Shot Pro also comes with a number of eBook Cover Design shapes. The following designs were rendered in 3D Box Shot Pro. Significantly, the designs themselves were made using 3D models rendered in 3D Box Shot Pro.

The Sword in this design was loaded into 3D Box Shot Pro as an "External Model" then exported as a transparent .png file and incorporated into the cover design. 

The toy racing car in this design was loaded as an "External Model" into 3D Box Shot Pro. Individual faces of the model were then colored and environment mapped before exporting it as a transparent .png and adding it to the cover design in Photoshop. 

The same principle was used in this design.

It bugs me a bit that this video has had so few views on youtube. This gives a good demonstration of the sort of effects you can easily apply to 3D models in 3D Box Shot Pro. Creative Uses of 3D Box Shot Pro

3D Box Shot Pro can import external .3ds models as standard. This allows you to create some stunning designs by combining 3D models to create something new. In this example, we used 3D Box Shot Pro to create a visual depiction of the concept "Content is King".
