Delicate and delightful, these Frosted Pink Roses cookies are not only a treat for your taste buds but also a feast for the eyes. The tender buttery cookies are adorned with elegant pink rose designs, making them perfect for special occasions, tea parties, or as heartfelt gifts.
Ingredients: 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour. 1 teaspoon baking powder. 1/2 teaspoon salt. 1 cup unsalted butter, softened. 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar. 1 large egg. 2 teaspoons vanilla extract. 1/2 teaspoon almond extract. Pink gel food coloring. Edible gold dust for decoration.
Instructions: Mix the flour, baking powder, and salt together in a bowl with a whisk. Put away. Melt the butter and mix it with the sugar in a different bowl until it is light and fluffy. Add the egg, vanilla extract, and almond extract and beat until everything is well mixed. Slowly add the dry ingredients to the wet ones while mixing them together. Do this until the dough comes together. Split the dough in half. Add pink gel food coloring to one half and mix it well so that the color is spread out evenly. Make a disc out of each piece of dough, wrap it in plastic wrap, and put it in the fridge for at least an hour. Warm the oven up to 350F 175C and put parchment paper on baking sheets. On a surface that has been lightly floured, roll out the pink dough until it is about 1/4 inch thick. Cut out rose shapes with flower-shaped cookie cutters and place them on the baking sheets that have been prepared. For 10 to 12 minutes, or until the edges are just beginning to turn golden. Let the cookies cool for a few minutes on the baking sheets before moving them to a wire rack to cool all the way. For a touch of class, sprinkle some of the cookies with edible gold dust after they are completely cool. You can use store-bought frosting or your favorite buttercream recipe to make the frosting. Use gel food coloring to give the frosting a light pink color. To make the cookies look like rose petals, pipe or spread the pink frosting on them. Wait for the frosting to harden before you serve or package the cookies.
