"Letters to My Father" Chapter 13: The Companion Speaks!
The Creature's Companion has words of her own for Victor.
Please bear in mind that this is Guillermo del Toro-version of the Creature, and not book-version Creature. Also, this may be the last chapter. Not sure where to take things from here.

Letters to my Father Chapter 12: Roses and Thorns
The Creature rambles a bit about good times and also the challenges facing him as he navigates the ins and outs of a deep relationship. Sort of a long-ish chapter again. He's doing his best, okay.

Letters to my Father Chapter 11: Peace and Good Company
A little chapter in which the Creature muses about being treated with kindness and understanding by his companion, and about caring for himself as much as she does.
Trying to imagine how much of an adjustment it would be for him to go from living in the wilderness to being around civilization again. So many years of having no self-consciousness, and then suddenly being overwhelmed by it when he's confronted again by comparisons to "normal" people.
Cooking something! Stay tuned!!!

This is hilarious! But I should like to propose that William and the Creature switch places. William, I feel, understands that one eats this type of candy lengthwise. He's simply too busy doing all that work for Victor, and can't be bothered to eat them one at a time. After all, William never does catch a break. The Creature, on the other hand, would just chomp right into the side of it. He'd be so excited about candy, and he just doesn't know any better.

Letters to my Father Chapter 10: A Forest in the Rain
The Creature tells of a long day's adventure with his companion, in the rain, through the woods at night. He aspires to be a good lover, but feels he still has much to learn. Sometimes, though, he is too hard on himself. She understands.
A bit of a long chapter, but there was a lot of ground to cover. This one is mostly smut, but with a purpose. At least, I hope. I think it's Canada, actually. (see notes for chapter 9)

Letters to my Father Chapter 9: Silver and Gasoline The Creature describes more facets of his companion, and their life together. He also tells of a foray with her into the wide world.
I wonder what the average person in Canada or Alaska (haven't really decided which) in the 1990's would think of the Creature if they saw him. Would they assume he's an accident victim of some kind? Or would they think his scars are some sort of intentional body modification? Probably depends on the person. Hard to say.

The Creature shares a poem he composed for his companion, recording it in his journal for both her and himself. The Creature is very fond of words. This was a poem I actually wrote for another piece of unfinished fiction, but I realized how well it seemed to fit the Creature's voice (in my head at least) so I had to give it to him.

Where do I sign up to be a Gothic heroine, with flowing hair and night-dress, drifting through a ruinous building carrying a candelabra, and discovering things I'm not supposed to know??? Life goals!!!

The Creature and his Bride feel the pleasures of deep intimacy with one another, at last.
The challenge: Write smut as if described by a fellow who learned to speak in the mid-19th century. In a letter to his long-lost, mad-scientist father/creator. Me: hold my tea!

quick question, where do you get your screenshots from? specifically the one where the creature is (mostly) naked in the cottage?
Thank you for the compliment! That screenshot came from the behind the scenes documentary "The Anatomy Lesson" on Netflix. They used the cottage set to showcase some of the costumes and also the Creature's full-body prosthetic application.

The Creature and his Bride each explore the other, and even as he learns the intricacies of her body, he finds there is so much more to discover. His thirst for knowledge is only growing. Also, the Creature thinks a lot, about a lot of things.
