INTRO POST !! :)

hello! my name is embry! i'm 21 and i use any/all pronouns!!

i'm not new to tumblr by any means, i've been using it on and off since around 2021. this account actually started out as a musical theatre/broadway page funny enough lol! (i still adore musicals so don't be surprised if you see me yapping about them a little here and there)

nowadays i'm using this account to post my art and yap about my fave fandoms and hyperfixations. i mostly draw fanart but i do have some ocs so i may post them here on occasion! i'm primarily a digital artist (i use procreate) but love to dabble in traditional art as well! mostly alcohol markers, watercolour, and gouache :)

my current main obsession is tetro danganronpa so expect to see lots of it for the foreseeable future lmao. i'm really big into other fangans (mostly p:eg and drdt) as well as MLP so there will probably be the occasional pony thrown in here and there between my tetro stuff

aside from art i'm also a cosplayer! i've been cosplaying for a little over 8 years now though i won't be posting any of that here (maybe that will change we'll see)

okay so regarding all of the von/tetro stuff that's happened over the last few days

i know there isn't really any reason for me to be throwing in my 2 cents on all this especially since everyone's been chatting about it nonstop for the last 3 (i believe?) days but i feel like as someone who is fairly active in the fandom spaces here (as well as twt) and is an artist who's drawn their fair share of tetro fanart and has shared it online i should say a little bit and share how i'll be going forward with my participation in the fandom from here on out.

first and foremost, FUCK AI. i hate AI involvement in art and creative spaces, no matter how minimal it may be. AI has no space here or in any art spaces, and i'm so disappointed it's had such a strong presence in tetro. knowing the characters i've grown to love so much and have drawn and even cosplayed have been created with the assistance of AI is like a huge smack to the face. it hurts.

regarding von, knowing what i do now i have lost any respect i've ever held for her. it's heartbreaking to know a creator i admired so much for a series i adore has done and said such horrible things. i'm not going to go into anything in detail here, especially since there's probably more stuff i haven't even heard about yet (and more coming out as we speak) but know that i do not support her in any way anymore.

this being said, i am going to remain in the tetro fandom. i love tetro, and i have for a couple months now. it's one of my main hyperfixations and i'd love to continue to find joy in it, and in my faves akiba, ikeda, and ogura. i want to continue to enjoy them and the series despite knowing all this now.

going forward to try and distance myself from the AI aspects, i'm going to be working on my own redesigns for the characters so i can continue to make art of them and not feel so personally gross about it.

i could continue on forever with this but as i've said so much already, i'd just like to wrap this up by telling you all to please show your love and support to all the va's that have been apart of tetro! dendens va felix is currently uploading all of the audio for the rest of blue to their youtube channel, so if you want to watch please do! support all of the blue casts hard work!

anyways uhhh yeah thats it. just wanted to share some thoughts and explain i'm not going anywhere
