hey great-grandma or great-great-grandma, whichever one of you wrote this down, sorry in advance if I fuck up the simplest recipe ever

Cream cheese kolachy, for the curious:

Cream together:

1 large package of cream cheese (I'm using an 8 oz pack)

1/2 lb butter

Add:

2 cups flour

2 tablespoons sugar

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

mix well

Roll out thin and cut with a small size glass.

Make impression in center of each circle with finger.

Fill center with any SOLO fillings. (Jams and jellies will burn and run out).

Bake in hot oven 400° until light brown. About 15 minutes.

Cool - sprinkle with powdered sugar.

Okay, no this was a losing battle.

I finally found the trick tho: soften the grease with a degreaser and then use a bladed scraper to scrape off strips of grease.
