i haven't really explored the sydcarmy tag after watching the finale, so this probably has been mentioned, but I just think it's funny how everyone (I think) takes the jess and richie relationship as canonically romantic (which I of course believe it is) after they've shared the minimum amount of physical contact and no explicit romantic dialogue has been exchanged between the two, literally only one hand brush, one hand holding and a bit (or a bunch if we consider their on screen time) of flirty talk... okay guess who has had that same amount (and more!) of physical contact anddd the same (literally more!) amount of flirty yes no maybe type of conversations... so yeah, I think it's safe to assume the intention and direction of their relationship after the finale to me it's pretty clear that the finale was (and this is 100% something someone else said around here before) actually a beginning, the beginning of nat's new relationship with DD, of Marcus and his dad's relationship (and hopefully of marluca), a new era for the bear / the beef, jess and richie and of course, the start of a new phase for syd and carmy's relationship

sydcarmy is just so cute because they love being a little bit corny. they get tiny matching tattoos of one half of a bff pendant and sydney insists that "its not a couples tattoo it's a friendship thing because the first thing we are is best friends." they're going as puns for halloween and everybody asks what their costumes are supposed to be. they dress up and color coordinate for fancy events just to always end up leaving early to watch movies and nap. they take turns reading books out loud to each other before bed
