They're making kids violent
They're making people happy
They're making people think
They're making the kids too "woke"

Sorry that me playing animal crossing with dreams of owning a house was too radical for you
Sorry that the fictional worlds I read about have saviors and happy endings but the idea that our world could too is too much for you
Sorry that the evil we see in movies has an end yet you're too busy fighting the wrong side to see that
Sorry that you can't keep the spread of information away from us to keep us blind and stupid

We have stories upon stories upon stories of worlds and kingdoms and lives being saved from evil but I guess that's just unrealistic isn't it?
We have Star Wars and Harry Potter and Percy Jackson and Lord of the Rings and every Disney movie ever in which the world is saved, evil is destroyed, and the characters live happily ever after but I guess that's just fiction isn't it?
If you asked me back then if I could live in any story I wanted, what would it be?
I might have said something like Lord of The Rings or Harry Potter. Help Frodo on his quest. Help Harry defeat Voldemort.

Something cozy. Something with a happy ending.
Because at this rate, that's the only way evil will stay defeated and we can get our happy ending. Own a house. Be happy. Be free.
But it's all just FUCKING fiction. Isn't it?

And you wonder why we're falling apart, kicking, screaming, fighting, crying.
Raised on fairytales, forced to accept reality.
Raised on fairytales, forced to accept reality.
Raised on fairytales, forced to accept reality.
Raised on fairytales, forced to accept reality.
Raised on fairytales, forced to accept reality.
Raised on fairytales, forced to accept FUCKING reality.
So tell me Samwise, what good is there worth fighting for?
Because I'm tired of feeling like I'm fighting to EXIST.
Now excuse me while I go back to my books and games and TV and Internet.
At least there I'll find some happy endings.
Let me live in a fairy tale because I sure as hell don't want to accept this reality.
