On a more serious note, we’ve been at this for nearly two and a half wild and crazy years, two full years where this shop has taken the place of a full-time job.

Unfortunately, with both of us attending college full-time, and one of us beginning a full-time job next semester, and several conventions planned for 2015, we’re forced to change some of our practices, including the discontinuance of custom-made, made-to-order, handmade pendants like those pictured above.

We’ll be discontinuing most (if not all) of the designs in our I <3 Superheroes and We Ship It! sections, as well as the Superhero Inspired line of bracelets, necklaces, etc.

The last chance to order any of these items that we do not currently have in stock will be this weekend, end of day on Sunday, Dec. 21. This includes things like our Avengers charm bracelet, shippy hearts, superhero charm bracelets - anything that we currently print and produce in-house.

What pre-made stock we do have left after that point will be put on discounted sale while we clear out the remainder. We’ll be removing anything that we don’t have in stock, and once the other inventory is gone, the items will be taken out of the shop.

This does not mean we’re closing shop! We’ll continue to offer the decoupage items that we currently have — and, next year, we’ll be adding new charm designs, still based on our own art, but printed by an outside manufacturer. This will allow us to continue offering cute and geeky designs, as well as to be quicker and more efficient at filling orders while we juggle our busy workloads. (Our new charms will also be glossy, waterproof and durable acrylic!)

Last night my car - our primary mode of transportation for both work and school - broke down, to a non-driveable state. The repairs are not astronomical, but still outside our budget at the moment as small business owners and artisans.

What makes this worse is that I’m due to start a full-time contract job next week, and still have another week of classes (all of which I will fail if absent for the last session!), so I don’t have the luxury of time.

Unfortunately, I also got a bit of a bad news this morning. Repairs I early estimated would take $400 at the maximum are turning out to be $550, since in addition to brake pads and rotors, I also need calipers, so $500 is now more of an overall goal than a stretch goal.
