Frisk sighed, they it had been actually been a year since they were last in the Underground. Nowadays, the teen had been living with their adopted mom; Toriel, but at the moment they were wandering near at the base of Mt. Ebott.

♥ “What brings you back here?” The spirit questioned, floating above her host. “After the last year, I didn’t think it was possible. ♥

“To be honest, I don’t know, I want to help Asriel.. but I don’t want to take away everyone else’s lives up here.” They answered, looking at the mountain. Frisk knew that if anyone heard the two talking, the person would assume their talking to them self. Especially since no one could see or hear Chara unless the spirit was in control of their body -- or unless it was a Frisk or Chara from another timeline.

Just like Four, Frisk gave a nod of there own. A small, interest filled smile taking their lips.

“But.. What if it is? Going up, I mean? What if the number is constantly increasing by decimals and you don’t seem to notice because every time you look, it just so happens to be on a whole number?”

Frisk! Stop trying to scare people, it isn’t going to work.. If it did then that’d be surprising, but still!

Anyway, as time goes new things come, that being the ghostly apparition of Chara!

“Hey! I’ve seen you before!”

And, yes, Frisk does have there own Chara… On occasion. Only. They’ve seen them enough to just recognize their appearance. A name they never heard. A voice they never heard.

Even so, Frisk did seem a bit excited to see them. Their head they had to tilt a bit more up to see the ghost. Being smaller than Four.

Four sighed when the spirit made her appearance. The teen had been hoping that she’d remain ‘sleeping’ a little while longer.

♥ The spirit grinned, “Hey! It’s another Frisk.” She floated to be level with the younger version, the spirit knew what her Frisk hated that she did often, at least to those in their on timeline who couldn’t see her and that was float in their face. Invade their personal space, and just because some (mainly themselves from other timelines) could see her, it didn’t mean she had to stop. “Name’s Chara, though we haven’t figured out a nickname for me yet.” ♥

Four couldn’t help but glare at the spirit, before apologizing on Chara’s behalf to their younger self, “I’m sorry about her.”

To be honest, the smaller of the two didn’t really believe that, but who’s to say. They weren’t them, if ya catch that drift.

I mean, they’ve resetted more times than any normal Frisk would do, done each Route more than any normal Frisk would do. Never had they thought of a forced reset possible throughout each journey.

Buuuut they couldn’t help but shrug at the others very last statement and the words that followed after weren’t very… Rightly appealing for a reaction.

“Yeah, I did notice… That’s cool though! At least ya don’t die as easily with that.”

“It is nice knowing I can’t die easily,” Four nodded, “I just have to make sure it doesn’t get to something for my timelines Sans to worry.”

Though, Four had never actually experienced Sans’ fight due to the forced resetting. But they have been noticing when their back in their own timeline how he seems to be keeping a closer eye on them.

As Four had been talking, they sensed the spirit in the back of their mind ‘waking up’, and mentally sighed.

♥ Chara’s spiritual body appeared above Four’s as she bluntly spoke, “what’s going on, huh?” Despite being a spirit, she still stretched her limbs before finally seeing the younger Frisk. ♥

“Oh, I’m good with that.” The teen didn’t want her to spend all of her G on them, “I can help pay for something.” Frisk didn’t like seeing others go out of their way for them. Especially since she was so nice.

“O-Oh, a-a-are you sure…?” Chamomile really wanted to insist that she pay for everything, but… She didn’t have the G for it. “…t-that…T-That would be w-wonderful… Thank you!”

Just merely nodding their head, Frisk smiled at her. “I don’t mind helping to pay, really." The teen tilted their head, “do you want to lead the way?” They asked.

"Wake up... please wake up..."

"Hey, are you okay? You seem a bit faint..."

"I found you unconscious back there. What happened?"

"Hey, are you alright over there?!"

"We found you in a horrid state.. but we patched you up as best we could!"

The marine just stares. “And what if I destroy the body of this alleged "first human”? Beyond that, how are you certain that it is, in fact, a human? Demons are deceptive things. They lie. They’ll try to trick you. Anything to get a foothold. Kid, I’m going to this demon nest, and I’m going to kill everything that moves. I’m sorry, but That’s just the way things have to be. I’ve seen what happens when these monsters gain control over a world. I refuse to let that happen, as long as I can fight them, I will.“

“There is NO body left of the ‘first human’, she DIED a long time ago and her body turned to dust. Her SOUL is the only thing left of her, and it’s INSIDE my body.” It usually took a lot to upset Frisk, hell, they were nearly impossible to make yell. But they needed to try to convince this man that the monsters in the Underground were not enemies.

Clenching their teeth, Frisk automatically went into their own subconscious and ‘appeared’ in front of the three ‘buttons’ that allowed them to control their timeline. Looking at the [ LOAD ] ‘button, they thought to the spirit, “when was the last time we saved?”

♥ “It was just before we climbed the mountain.” The spirit answered, before questioning their host. “Why do you.. wait, you’re not going back to before we met this guy are you?” ♥

“Chara, it’s the only way.. the moment he found out about you, he wanted to go down. He’s going to kill all of them! I can’t let him do it.” Frisk spoke, their hand hovering over the [ LOAD ] ‘button. “I need to protect all of them.”

They left their subconscious leaving their hand hovering over the [ LOAD ] button, which they were only gone for a second, as the teen continued staring at the marine. “Please understand.. the ONLY way to get rid of the “demon” inside is to KILL me.. permanently. And like I said already, that is easier said than actually done.”

Headcanon

Four has relatively quite a lot of gold(G). Though, it’s mostly from them selling Dog Residue and some other items they didn’t need in Temmie Village. In fact, they were able to get enough gold to help Temmie get to college and still had quite a bit left over.

Note: If you want to know how much G that Four has, I added it to their ‘about page’ and I also added a link on there for the kinds of items they have in their inventory.

The marine casts the child a cold glare as the pieces put themselves together in his mind.

A child falls into a demon nest, then not only survives, but escapes. The child speaks to thin air, seemingly holding a genuine conversation with something he can’t see or hear, but he feels watching him. The child attacks him with a ferocity he’s all too familiar with- albeit, very weak- all the while their eyes shining bright red.

“You’re Posessed.” He states simply. “A demon has its claws sunk into your mind. If I find it- and I guarantee I will- then it will be slain and you will be free.”

♥ Hearing the marine say that he’d find and slay her, Chara merely just laughed in Frisk’s subconscious before saying to her host mentally. “He can try and find ‘the demon’ that has its ‘claws’ in your mind, but it’s just not going to work.” ♥

Shaking their head, the teen stated, “you won’t find nothing down there to ‘free’ me, that demon you speak of is the spirit of the first human who had fallen down there. And her SOUL is the only thing around anymore and it’s sharing this body.” Keeping their determined hazel gaze on the marine, Frisk went on to add, “if you want to ‘free’ me, the only way is to KILL me. And doing that is harder said than done.”

They were referencing that they had the ability to ‘RESET’ the timeline, but they figured this man most likely wouldn’t understand it.

“N-No, it’s not too much trouble at all!” she smiled reassuringly. “Anywhere in particular you want to go? I don’t really have preferences. F-Food is food, h-haha…” she said, rubbing the back of her neck shyly.

Shaking their head, “no, not really, like you said food is food.” Frisk laughed. After spending most of their life in an orphanage before they had fallen down into Mt. Ebott, the teen had learned to not be picky when it came to food.

Frisk’s expression would shift from it’s curiosity and confusion state to one of just pure curiosity.

“Wait you said something happened in yours, yet nothings wrong??”

Their head tilted a tad, raising their eyesbrows a bit.

“If.. You don’t mind me asking, I just. Want to know.. What DID happen??”

“I don’t mind, the full thing is kind of a long story.” The teen rubbed the back of their head, looking at their younger self.

“But, ah, long story short.. my timeline ended up getting a small glitch when I had forced a reset twice during my Chara’s battle with Undyne while a genocide run was happening.”

Looking at their younger self, Four added, “which is also, if you noticed, why my LV and HP are higher than normal despite me clearly still being a Frisk.”

The marine turns around, picking up his weapon. “Now. I know you are a very empathetic person. I can tell. But. I’m going inside the mountain. I’ve seen what happens when demon nests like the one you described exist for too long without intervention. Trust me, if you stop me from going and killing the demons in the mountain, they’ll emerge to plague the human world, and you’ll wish you hadn’t tried to stop me.”

Biting their lip, Frisk runs around and gets in front of him. Shaking their head, “they are not bad. I should know, I’ve been down there and made it out alive.” Suddenly their hazel squinted eyes widened in shock at their last words about being inside the mountain. Looking up at the marine, a sudden new found determination -- despite still being injured from the fight -- in their eyes.

“They are all really nice.. and kind..” Well, excluding Flowey, but even he has a kind side despite not having a soul of his own.

“Ah.. Yes. Yes I am wondering that.. How did you..? Are.. You a timeline jumper??”

Clearly the look of curiosity and confusion were present on their squinted eyed face. They did indeed know about other timelines. Not really the multi-verse itself, but other timelines, yes.

“Ah, yeah, you could say that,” They nodded. That was one way of putting.

“Though, it’s not really because something is wrong in my own timeline, things just happened that made me curious about what other kinds of timelines existed.”

Well, nothing was wrong outside of the glitch where they had the spirit of Asgore and Toriel’s adopted human child attached to them. Though, she was currently ‘sleeping’ and not present at the moment. So it was probably best to not mention that bit for now.

“By the way, if you want, feel free to call me ‘Four’.”
