Would Taylor Swift's legal team raise any fuss if Araki named a stand after one of her songs
You don't even need to study for the Rorschach test, btw, it's super easy. All they do is show you a bunch of stupid pictures of your dad getting eaten by a horse
Do not share the answers with your classmates.
Yes Dr Rorschach
Sorry Dr Rorschach
Penny Inspector Gadget is for the girls who used to make self-insert OCs for their favorite shows who would always know what was going on and always saved the day when the canon characters couldn't (it's me I'm girls)
A theme that I really like that's touched upon in Jojo's Bizarre Adventure is the idea that people with Stand have to be the one to bring people that the law can't touch to justice.
I know that this is probably something that a lot of other shows or stories have as a theme (it's just not as explicitly mentioned), but I think Jotaro put it best in his fight against Kakyoin:
"And your Stand gets to hide from the victim, the law, and the consequences! That's why... I will judge you myself!"
Other Stand users get to do whatever they want without any consequences because nobody's gonna catch them-- least of all ordinary people. One of the best examples is the reason why the Duwang Gang goes up against Kira-- they're the only ones who can even try to take him down, because leaves no trace behind and can escape the law without any consequences.
Only another Stand user can bring him to justice, and in doing so, let the rest of Morioh take him down. (As many have mentioned before, Kira's death by ambulance and the Ghost Alley, in a way, is him being defeated by all of Morioh as a whole. Even if Josuke and the others brought him to light, Morioh was what took the final blow.)
As villains use their Stands for their own gain, escaping the arms of the law, the responsibility falls on their Stands to be the judge. It perfectly encapsulates the ideas of responsibility and heroism, especially in the context of the series and the Joestars and I think that's just beautiful.
My personal hand flex is the scene in the 1995 Pride and Prejudice where Elizabeth and Mr. Darcy share a longing look after she takes care to distract/comfort Georgiana after Caroline brings up Wickham. It's just-- the way they look at each other is so AUGH I can't get enough of how tender it is... I replay that scene eternally whenever it comes up in my rewatch.
Geronimo Stilton is so nostalgic for me tbh
It's definitely an underrated series!!! I love that mouse...
Sometimes I wish I lived in one of the cozy farming sims I play, then I remember that:
I traded a coworker banana bread for a ride to work on a hot day.
I gifted a plant I grew to a different coworker just because I had extras.
I bake pumpkin pies for my partner because it's their favorite, and I have the recipe memorized.
I gave leftover cat food to a couple who foster cats.
The bus driver of the bus I take to work every day sometimes drops me off in front of the train station between stops to help me catch my train.
My mom gave me honey from an apiary in her neighborhood and lotion made of goat milk from her neighbor’s goats.
And I think that maybe I already do, I just have to see it. To reach out and help people with kindness, and allow myself to receive help in return. The welcoming communities so common in cozy sim games are the thing that sometimes feels the most out of reach. We have to be willing to be kind, vulnerable, and open to the people in our lives to achieve the community we crave. Which is, obviously, easier said than done and takes time and patience, but it is also so, so worth it.
US Book ban on LGBTQIA books
The nationwide book ban bill, HR 7661, has progressed out of committee and into the House. Here's what you need to know to take action.
At least hit the shiny repost button if you're going to do nothing else. This should not stand.
Stop the bill dead in its tracks. LGBTQIA people have a right to be represented in books.
Sometimes guys are real hypocrites... but then again, sometimes, they're just clueless!
Sometimes it's fun to ragebait your crush every now and then.
I love Zeppeli OCs~
I thought it was finally time to introduce my JJBA OC. This is Emma Zeppeli! She's 17 and is the granddaughter of one of Caesar's brothers. Her story takes place around Part 3, and she's a goofy, if reckless individual, who often annoys others but takes it in stride because she does it for fun. She's protective of her loved ones and surprisingly observant, and despite her tendency to look before she leaps, she's intelligent and is always willing to fight tooth and nail to get out of a fight.
She is very much aware of the Zeppeli curse. Her first mistake was not realizing that Kujos were Joestars.
I'll be posting way more of her soon~ I've never posted her anywhere before, but I feel like now is a good time to do so!
Ace Attorney AUs are my own personal niche in life
no plot no angst 103k words of catty bitching and small talk
Did you look into their faces? Did you see their rib cages? Their sunken eyes?Their backs are bent,Their hands are withering! Are you torn apart inside like me? Did these pictures stir your conscience? This is so cruel.
More than 20 children have starved to death. Did you see them?
These were children. Babies. Dying slowly and silently before our eyes — and no one is moving. They died just yesterday. 101 children in total have died of starvation since this blockade began.
An elderly man collapsed and died while waiting in line for food.
60,000 pregnant women have no food — not for themselves, not for the babies they carry. Mothers are no longer producing milk. Babies are crying from hunger. Israel has completely blocked baby formula from entering Gaza. Those who are starving are trying to save others who are starving.
Stage 5 famine means that even if food is finally allowed in, it could kill — because the body is too weak to process it. This is a relentless nightmare. A crime unfolding in real time.
Yoooooooo
So the government just defunded PBS and NPR which is fucked. That being said, the public can cover the damage if we orginize and donate.
Only about $1.60 of tax dollars per US citizen per year are spent on the public broadcasting budget. NPR and PBS offer beong able to make small monthly donations, some being 7$ per month or lower if you want.
If you want to donate 1.60$ per month to your local station, you can multiply how much funding they get from you by 12. If you do their monthly donation of $7 per month, your donation can equal the tax dollars of 54 people spent on public broadcasting per year.
If you want to donate to your local station, look them up by your town here to make sure your local stations get helped specifically:
Truly, this is in fact important stuff.
If you’re able; do it.
I know that the only thing that never changes is change itself, but man, it hurts sometimes, doesn't it?
