Heartcuff series 💗💋
Today I cried a little bit because I remembered that when Beethoven conducted his ninth symphony for the first time he got a standing ovation and one of the sopranos had to turn him around to see the audience.
I have never recovered from this illustration by Scott Cameron for Barbara Nichol’s “Beethoven Lives Upstairs.”
😭😭😭
trust the sopranos to claim credit for the work of a contralto.

Beep boop! I look for accidental haiku posts. Sometimes I mess up.
The princess tells her knight to stand still, then she goes for the gauntlets, pulling each finger free, then the vambrace, then the pauldron.
After each piece she removes, she runs her hands over what's underneath -- fingers, hand, bare forearm, bare shoulder. Her eyes trace over skin and tendons and the knight can't help but take a breath. She says "flex" and he does and she drags her nails across the muscles and he makes a sound and she says "quiet" and so he is.
