1) What colour underwear are you wearing?
Grey/Navy
2) Why do you do what you do?
Because bowel movement is the natural process of human life. But besides what I’m doing at the moment, I do animation because I find it challenging and rewarding at the same time. It’s a great joy to see about a hundred of hours you spent becomes condensed into a short animation footage that lasts only about 5-20 seconds. Seeing the subtle differences in the final pass from every small decisions you made in the production phase is what makes this learning process fun.
3) Who was the last person you kissed? If this question was meant to be asked in a romantic manner, then my answer is not what you’re looking for. I believe it was my mother.
4) When was the last time you felt loved?
I feel loved almost everyday. Knowing that my family and friends are there wanting the best for me is the best kind of love at the moment. That’s as real as it can get for me. I also feel loved every time I get to eat a good meal. I feel like myself and I have a great relationship where I treat myself better than anyone else can. Learn to love yourself before you love others.
5) Where is home for you?
At the moment, I don’t feel that I have a physical place attached with sentimental values where I can call home. The small apartment in Chicago where my family lives still feels foreign to me. And the house I live here by school definitely is not what I would want to call home. So I haven’t found my home yet. In the future, perhaps.
6) How do you wake up in the morning?
With 2 alarms that are set 30 minutes apart. I like to reward myself from the moment I open my eyes. “Hey, you can sleep more if you want, it’s up to you.” (Like I said, love yourself first).
7) Where do you want to visit?
California, Korea, Europe, Japan, and any islands.
8) When was the last time you had no idea what you were doing?
I go through this everyday. From bad choices to good perhaps. But I believe I’ll go through this more post-graduation. Yikes. I do remember however when I first started out with animation after leaving pre-dent life behind. Knowing that I had nowhere else to go if I failed at animation, I panicked hard. I was burdened with fear and doubt that affected my grades and performance. But I stuck through it and look where I am now! Probably still scared but I’m putting in hard work and it’s paying off. I think. (I still doubt hah).
9) Who do you see when you look in the mirror?
All I can think of is Michael Jackson at the moment. What a great song. Anyways, I see a boy who deep inside wants to please everyone around him. At the end of the day though, I don’t care to look at myself in the mirror as long as I did in the morning. Think about it. It’s a metaphor.
10) Why do you live where you do?
Rent is cheap, it’s closest to the school’s campus. What a boring question. It should be like how do you live where you live? Now that I have plenty of answers for.
11) What is your biggest pet peeve?
Lazy people. People with bad attitude. Bad eating habits. Slow drivers. People with morning breath. Lastly, a lot of the “religious” people here at Southern. I’ve never seen such superficial and fake spirituality within certain people. I’m definitely not considering myself as a better or worse candidate which is why I don’t like to correlate with myself in any group at the moment. Still figuring things out.
