Evil ass AU I thought of: The objects left MePad on the island, the people arriving to there find his body and since the investigation might be organized by Corndon(and since they're affiliated with Cobs) they fix up MePad but also rewire him while still giving him a conscience so they can get intel on what happened to Cobs and what the contestants did. An issue is, there ends up being some gaps in MePad's data. MePad is programmed and force to not act out of the status he's given and ends up as Corndon's assistant/captive or something like that

Imagine going through so much to break out of that role that's been ingrained into you, sacraficing yourself, then end up coming back and having your progress erased and also having to worry about your friends being found out
