Just watched descendants for the first time since I was 10.
My favorite part are the evil villain parents who are clearly in a polyamorous relationship
Because why are you all coparenting your 4 children together??
And living together???
thats my fat old man!!

enough.
Stede returns. Izzy stays. Ed starts to wonder why.
If I had a nickel for every time I’ve watched a crow surprisingly become a human and be insanely good-looking, I’d have two nickels, which isn’t a lot, but it’s weird that it happened twice.
I love it when there's a couple but then there's a third guy who's also there and he's part of it but not like romantically he's just a part of the couple but like....platonically
my most unpopular asoiaf opinion is that Ned's passive behaviour is the only thing that could brat tame Cersei and I'm one hundred percent here for it
now that "a knight of the seven kingdoms approaches", I present to you...
the adaptation bingo
this is mostly "The Hedge Knight" related because that's what I think the first Eason will cover plus we're not getting "The She-Wolfs of Winterfell" anytime soon and George ain't finishing this saga either. There's, however, some general guesses in it, like the whole "the Blackfire rebellions not getting explained at all and people getting confused as fuck" thing. Let me know your guesses and enjoy.
Eulogy for Jessup
For me, one of the most difficult deaths in TBoSaS was Jessup, and he goes sorely underrated.
A kind, gentle boy who didn't let the nature of the Games stop him from protecting a girl he was intended to kill. He took care of Lucy Gray, and she took care of him, right up until he died; he was Lucy Gray's Peeta, and I am fully sure that, had he not died the way he did and when he did, he would have died rather than kill her.
That's what made his death even more heartbreaking --- he wasn't himself. He soldiered on, through pain, malnourishment, and illness, to protect Lucy Gray, and in the end he became a primary threat to her by no fault of his own. And she still stayed with him.We don't know much about him --- who his family was, who he wanted to be in life, why he even loved Lucy Gray so much --- but we know that he was purely gentle, selfless, and protective.
And the Games completely broke him.
HERE!!!! I think I sort of hated about the movie (which I actually liked, though) is the way Jessup becomes paranoid, spiraling into madness with rabies, and thinking Lucy actually tried to poison and hurt him. In the film, this is what leads into him chasing Lucy into the open arena and trying to to attack her.
This, however, its NOT what happens in the book: there, Lucy eventually realizes it's rabies what has been making Jessup act odd, and it is when the illness starts reaching its peak that she decides to run away. Jessup, hurt by Lucy leaving him, runs after her trying reach her back. The confusion, aggravated by the rabies, makes him become stressed and then violent (again because of the illness, not because he wanted to actually harm Lucy) which is then solved by Lysistrata herself (not by Snow) who decides there's no way of saving him.
Jessup was actually very sweet and kind and he never intended to hurt anyone nor mistrusted Lucy: he only was extremely afraid and alone in his last moments.
Ah yes. Me. My little crow. And his 300lb magical prehistoric wolf.
people who are convinced ned would never execute theon are so confusing to me. girl. did we read the same books. like you BELIEVE the ned honorableman stark propaganda??? babes he would have that child’s head in a millisecond. like yes he might weep a single stoic man tear but he would get the job done and be like ‘tis not my fault. i, eddard honorableman stark, am only fulfilling my duty… aye… it’s unfortunate but necessary…’ and then jon runs by shouting about being the dragonknight and ned’s just like yes…. i am so good at duty and honorableness et cetera. i NEED you to think critically about this. ok love you bye
I'm definitely and 100% sure this is the right lecture about the whole thing and that Ned would have killed Theon of given the need, but I also think a lot about how he, in the end, chose to be considered a traitor for the sake of his children so I like to consider the idea of him at least hesitating for the sake of the love he has for Robb, whom would never forgive him for doing so.
Kate, trying to come out: Do you ever feel like kissing girls?
Sam: No.
Kate: What
Sam: What
As diabolical as Show Cersei may be, she will never be as messy as Book Cersei who literally tried to seduce Ned Stark into keeping her relationship with Jaime a secret. Like she looked at Lord Eddard Stark, heard every story about him, proceeded to tell him all about how great Jaime feels inside of her, and then thought "I'm pretty enough to change him" and started flirting. I stan a queen with self confidence bordering on insanity 🙌
One think that cracks me up about this is that lots of people think this was a reckless decision which, well, it was, but you all have to consider that everyone on Westeros think that Ned cheated once, so Cersei (being the prettiest girl in the block) thinking she can manage to get him to do it again... It's not that far fetched

my most stupid F&B headcanon is that Vaegon and Saera were actually friends (said to be the smartest of all the siblings) and that when Saera is requested to assist the 101 Council it was Vaegon who delivered the message all being like "FATHER CAME TO ASK ME ABOUT THE IRON THRONE BITCH YOU IN LINE NEXT GIRL RUN" and they both shared a goblet of wine laughing about the family shenanigans
Saera: how are they doing?
Vaegon: all of them are dead
Saera: lol brrr we won fr
Vaegon: ikr?
Aegon the conqueror inverted. 🐉
Or, none of the Targs in ASOIAF ever fight and they all get married and live happily ever after.
