❛ Don't you think you are too forgiving? ❜ Was that truly the case for the young human? Compasionate, de facto, she appeared to be in his eyes. Despite him, like a draconian in nature, sending his underlings to capture her and bring her right to his headquarters, she did not ooze what could be considered overt ire or apprehension. Rather, there was curiosity.
Mind you, he possesses no regretability, nor remorse for his actions, as his grandiose goals needed to be actualized, planning to maximal magnitude. Merely, and in a sense, he could relate to aforementioned inquisitiveness, thence he inquired.
"Hmm." Orihime considers his question.
It doesn't take long for her to find her answer. Even here, in the cold expanse of another world like Hueco Mundo, she can't find herself to be angry at Lord Aizen. Or at any of the others who had assisted in bringing and keeping her here. She had to wonder what he must think of her as a small smile touched her lips before she shakes her head to his question. "I don't think so, no. I think humans- or, well. Everyone is flawed." The healer considers her thoughts before she's speaking them out loud. The last thing she wants to do is to find herself on his bad side. Surely there wasn't anything less intelligent than to be at odds with the closest thing to a God she had ever imagined?
"People do things to hurt you, and sometimes they don't mean it. But...sometimes they do mean it." Her thoughts swirl with her parents. The way they had hurt her. The reason her brother had taken her and run the second he was able to. He was the reason she was still alive. "But no matter what, in the end, it all comes down to what I want to carry on my heart, doesn't it?" Orihime was speaking directly from her heart, from her soul, as she carried on with her answer. Even though she knew he was quite rude not to allow him to respond to what she had said before.
"To withhold forgiveness, for me, feels like too much of a burden to hold. I could stay angry. I could let that anger change who I am and take the good out of me. Or I could simply forgive and live my life the best way I know how. By just being happy." Another smile, the girl meeting his eyes for just a moment before turning away. He doesn't seek nor does he desire her forgiveness, she's sure. But even so, she would freely give it.
"Or, maybe I'm just naive."
