The Waterâs Edge is just that-- as mellow and comforting as water gently washing over your ears. The soothing vocals of both the male and female vocalists mesh together perfectly for an enjoyable experience that you canât grow tired of. The Monk and the Lover is enchanting, continues with Falling Down, and Count the Days provides a more uptempo sound that still never jars. It cools down again with Georgia and takes it to the peak of Soothe with Embers. Embers is a quietly passionate composition with both voices complimenting each other in a way that you donât hear much of these days. Crazy Universe ends The Waterâs Edge with a introspective look at this place that we all happen to exist in, and I have to say, I completely enjoyed this experience. Thank you! Check it out for yourself:

Nick Festari has been performing eurobeat and dance music for 30 years, and the influence is apparent. The first thought with the opening track You Wanna Make Me Fly (I Know You Belong to a Dream) was that this was an instrument-heavy electronic music sound, which is nice. The entire track gave me a video game/anime feel, and I could see that being placed in one, easily. The lyrics of the song donât stand out that much, and Festariâs vocal tone is interesting but it fits pretty well in the electronic/pop/rock/alternative genre heâs shooting for now. Festari rounds out the song with a few harmonies towards the end to give it a bit of oomph, and Iâm pretty sure itâll fit in someones pop playlist who wants a bit more to dance to. The Song I Wrote For You is much more electronic-influenced, and it comes together neatly. Donât Throw The Dice goes all the way into the pop/rock field with its heavy guitars, and Donât Slam The Radio is a surprisingly more mellow tune contrary to its title. Check out this entire EP for on your own to see how Nick Festari blends pop, rock, alternative, punk and electronic for yourself and see how you like it:
If you havenât heard the original Shades of Grey by Oliver Heldens & Shaun Frank, weâll let you know that it is also an electronic/house song fashioned into a sing-along type fare. Whatâs different about the Yaro J remix of the song is that there are (exectionally) louder general sounds, louder synths and distinct classic dubstep-ish/dance drums are applied along with some other drums sprinkled in for good measure. Instead of allowing Shades of Grey to remain a cute lilâ pop sing-along with an slightly electric feel, Yaro J takes it all the way there. Â There will likely be more distinct, forceful movements than the âsing-a-long bunny hopâ (you know that dance) when Yaro Jâs remix comes appears at a nightclub, rave or festival, which is a good thing, because, that was his point. According to Yaro J:
I almost never work on remixes as I prefer to write and produce my own material. So when it comes to remixing a song I treat it a like its my own material and produce it accordingly.
So in the end, while this remix of Shades of Grey is not as dramatic of a change such as transforming a lounge song into an in-your-face dance song, the changes are quite noticeable and would serve as a great alternative in settings that require a song to have a little more oomph. Check it out now:
Preparing for her upcoming EP entitled EVERYTHING IS FINE, Stori Brooks ( @7thStori ) was inspired by a new (to her) musical discovery by the name of Thundercat. Thundercat has worked with the likes of Kendrick Lamar, Erykah Badu, Bilal, Flying Lotus and more, and his newest project "The Beyond/Where Giants Roam" gave Brooks a much-needed breath of fresh air. Check it out!
Here we have a 5-song instrumental EP sent our way this Friday from Titus G. Productions. Describing his sound as EDM, alternative, hip-hop and Club-step. I pressed play with no expectations, but I was definitely curious. I have to admit that I have an instinctual aversion to productions containing artificial instrument sounds unless theyâre blatantly electronic, but the first track from the Awake EP  entitled Sun Stone (Prelude to the Summer Solstice)- showed me that the presence of said sound does not instantly mean a terrible experience. The first track contained an ambiance that I wasnât mad at, at all. The drums in Sweet Escape also gave me a good groove, although I felt that the accompanying sound in the beginning and right after the midsection was a bit too loud, which threw me off. Love those drums though. You may like to hear how someone could rap to these tracks, which can be found exclusively on the second track entitled Off the Deep End, Melonie Fiona is a bit jarring and Asleep made me feel as if I was asleep on a hammock in a desert at night-- Which is a good thing. Be sure to check this project out for yourself by pressing play below, and also catch up to his whole story at the official website .::

The Mash is a pop rock group from Malaysia, and the bandâs song âMisery of You And Meâ recently came our way. Sure the song speaks of misery, but does so in a bouncy way that just might take the blues away. Now to be honest, the lyrics and music are a little sugary, but The Mash already warned us that they are usually âsugar high.â The lead singerâs voice is distinct and very appealing, even when it gets a bit off-pitch. But hey, thatâs rock & roll. There was a nice little piece towards the end that took a mellow turn away from the repetitious pop tempo, which was appreciated, and the harmonies during that segment were a nice touch too. Check it out for yourself, though::
