———IT WAS A NOTE THAT SUNG A DIFFERENT TUNE. slow, the cadenza of a devil tired and worn. for a moment, the angel could not find their words. so sure once, yet now reluctant to disperse yet another fit of wisdom and insight. that may have been for the best, stony hands loosening a grip they hadn’t even acknowledged until now. it was a moment of clarity, really, how they should have never left the two of them on their own.
