˗ˏˋ ♰ ˎˊ˗ 𝐁𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐃𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭

Notes on the mental development of children around the ages of 8~10. Sub notes being how "8"/Iota pertains to this information. Age 8 is when the frontal cortex starts development.

— Ask many questions to develop their own point of views on topics

□ — Iota is the most inquisitive of the segments with notes in his notebook listing questions he wants to ask.

— Begin to collect things & develop interests.

□ — We already know that Iota is interested in the Aranara but he has a knack for taking things he is interested in (research materials from the other segments, Dahri or Deshret meka components from Sandrone, etc.)

— Develop a sense of competitiveness

□ — He often competes with the other segments in research, although he always fails due to the age gap and mental development. An eight year old no matter how intelligent is no match for a Sumerian Scholar.

— Become curious as to how things work/how things are made

□ — Follows around other harbingers to research their work (he is merely curious)

— Twitter refering to him as Iota... lowkey adopting that for his name even if he thinks 8 is perfectly fine. Iota is more or less for easier reference in convos.

˗ˏˋ ♰ ˎˊ˗ Stressing this immediately, 8 is in fact an 8 year old. His brain will never develop past that, and while that doesn't excuse his actions it does offer an explanation.

— It is worth noting, 8 can see Aranaras. Which means he is likely the purest of heart amongst the segments. That's not to say he is good, he has no issues with the experiments of the other segments or even Zandik. 8 is also a massive brat.

— I do adore/enjoy the idea that 8 was used to manipulate other harbingers into increasing the fundings for other segments. He is cute and imagine telling him no.
