The Mandarin Duck in all its glory.
Looks like it's flashing the ocean
This book is an absolute page turner, you won't want to keep it down once you start reading it. This book takes you back in time and makes you experience the whole story as if you were present there, everything in the book is described beautifully with prominent details so you can visualise everything vividly. The most important part of this book is that it's from Draupadi's POV so you get the female perspective on things, and that is something very interesting, you get an insight on how poorly the women were treated during that period and how Draupadi's character is extremely empowering in an age where women were treated less important, also women are kept in the forefront of the action, leaving the male perspective covered. This book is like a roller coaster, you will dislike how some things work but you will also love many parts, this book will definitely satisfy you in the end. Also Krishna has the most beautiful and philosophical quotes in this book like " A problem becomes a problem only if you believe it to be so. And often others see you as you see yourself " and many more. After you finish reading the book you'll feel you just finished a long journey. For anyone interested in Indian Mythology or otherwise I would positively recommend them this beautiful book. 5/5
