If I had more free time, I’d map out a diagram of social traits and their adjacencies for a wholistic view of how two opposing traits see each other as the “weirdest,” or least “normal,” which would then define that being “normal” is a social construct and that our own perception of “normal” is unique.

I just realized, I pursue emotionally unavailable women because I predict it won’t work out. I subconsciously want that because I’m afraid of trusting someone wholeheartedly. Because trusting someone is the the ultimate vulnerability. You give someone power by letting them in. And I’ve never had that certainty in my head to be able to trust, because my mother said she was leaving when I was 3. She came back. She was just overwhelmed with me and my brother. A single mother of two who just needed a little time for herself and some fresh air. I can only wonder what her mother said to her. I can only wonder because this what generational trauma looks like. She said a few words that burrowed their way into my head and sent me down an overgrown, uncharted road in which I’d have to navigate myself back out of. As every year went by, small talk, questions, and observations sent me further down that treacherous road.

If I could give one piece of advice to my younger self, or anyone really, it would be to quit trying to “find yourself” and instead, just be yourself.

You’re not going to find yourself because you know who you already are. You know what you like and what you don’t like. You know what you’re interested in trying and what you’re not. Just go with your gut and do what you want. Leave it to other people to find out who you are and just be yourself.

We need scorched earth legislation to ensure Republicans cannot gain power anymore. Voting is important more than ever, but we need to do everything we can to ensure this to stop this. Target their money and quit purchasing from people who support them.

They need to be cancelled. And not in the form of them being looked down upon in society, but so that they can’t function in this society, because this society won’t tolerate their bullshit.

They spent 2016-2022 setting the stage to not only overturn Roe, but to make huge gains on a local and state level, placing judges on all levels who are biased and would challenge so many laws that they’d eventually be pushed to an religiously extreme Supreme Court.

I’m worried that the pieces are stacked against human rights, education, poverty, and so many other pressing issues that are fundamental to building a great society.

Vote in your local and state elections. Hold them accountable. Change your town halls, get involved. Remove the filibuster, pack the court, and make every effort to help consolidate power. Not in the hands of the Democrats, but of the people. The people who are progressive and know that rights and autonomy are inherent, whether they’re recognized legally or not.

Legal or not, we will take our rights.

Right now, it’s a time of exploration of myself, of others, of my environment. Live in the moment and don’t overthink.

I’m thankful I can be in that headspace after a 5 minute journal after a night of anxiety about everything being so uncertain in the world and feeling stagnant in life. But there’s nothing wrong with a period of rest and peace.

If they can question the legitimacy of an election on conspiracy theories, we can question the legitimacy of the past 3 SCOTUS appointees that were nominated by a traitor.

This is bullshit.

The fourteenth amendment says:

All persons born or naturalized in the United States and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside. No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.

A fetus isn’t alive until it’s been birthed because it isn’t capable of living on its own. It is a mass of cells that may have working organs, but cells of working organs are not people.

The key word is birth too. So if a fetus hasn’t been born, it isn’t guaranteed protections (life, liberty, or property, without due process of law) under the Constitution.

This is atrocious.

I don’t know what to do with this anger and frustration. Destroying Roe V Wade has destroyed any faith I still had in our system of government.

I think legislation is the only peaceful way to resolve this and I don’t see that happening when so many conservatives that cannot judge impartially have been appointed across the all levels of government.

I’m angry, I’m afraid, but I am more than ready for what’s to come. But I also don’t even know what to do or where to start.

All I’m asking for is someone supportive, affectionate, and understanding. Is that too much to ask?

It’s a rough day today. Yesterday was Father’s Day and I just am upset cause I have a lot of love and affection to give, but because other people aren’t reciprocating, I have to bottle my own love and affection. Not to get back at anyone, but to conserve it for people who appreciate it.

I hate that I’m looking forward to work tomorrow because I’ll be surrounded by people who like and appreciate me. I hate it because work shouldn’t be one of the only places you have that, but I am grateful for it.
