i think one of my favorite parts of the all too well short film was the difference in how they argued. it truly showed the age gap. she was more passionate and present about the fight and the words said, begging and pleading— set with a blazoned innocence while he was so distant and over it before it even began. a dismiss of the hand as if speaking to a toddler instead of your partner that is hurt and confused and just wanting some of that passion in return. god, so well done.

i live in australia, and it’s already the 5th of nov.. so i guess that’s how i was able to already access it?? if not then i guess we should all be able to access it?? mine downloaded as i was /longingly (like 10+ hours cuz crappy internet, it was the 4th)/ downloading the new update 😩

Oooooooh. It's not the 5th over here yet, but I might try and see if it'll be out when the update was said to come out, which was 9pm for me. I think it might be an available as it becomes midnight where you live sort of thing tho, but we'll see :p

So what I’m getting from the script is...

- Bubbles is a drug addict and alcoholic

- Buttercup is a predatory lesbian stereotype because she was the tomboy in the show. Also, she constantly cheats on any woman she’s with and her characterization is this and just this.

- The professor is an abusive father and boyfriend

- Sara Bellum is just there to be Utonium’s girlfriend

- mojo is a boring ass human

- Butch and Bubbles were almost married but bubbles cut off the engagement because she got high or something

And to top it all off:

In the world of this reboot, the professor(named Drake Utonium) sold the rights of his daughters likenesses or whatever to an animation studio and the original PPG cartoon is said show. Basically saying “yeah, all of those fun adventures and Utonium being a good father were made up for a cartoon” and another middle finger to the original.

Yeah, fuck this show.

Quick edit here: also, apparently, Bubbles did porn at one point. Now, it is totally fine for consenting adults to be sex workers but this show is way too interested in sexualizing these girls. Like, they think giving them sex lives suddenly makes the story more mature. It’s also used as a joke like “ha ha! You were so desperate for attention that you made a porno!”

So yeah, there’s another awful thing for you.
