My name is Layan bint Osama ibn Talal ibn Zayd Al Masri. Layan for short.
Common questions with Layan!!!1!!!11!
1. Layan, why are you such a loser with very little friends?
I don't know. That's subjective.
2. Layan, why did you disclose your full legal name?
So it spreads far enough that the man who killed my father remembers it and I will remind him once I find him
3. Layan, your dad isn't even dead. What the hell are you talking about?
no further comment.
4. Layan, I am a forty-two year old previously Christian woman from Minnesota, and I-
We've seen enough. And I'm sure all the world has seen enough. And they're sick of all the problems we create.

-some fucked up gums and teeth placement yo im not talking "oh she has fangs" no im talking about malocclusion. if she bared her teeth your brain would revert to caveman instincts and go "ah shit its a predator"
-palestinian/jordanian american. often visits her family during the summer. practicing muslim oooooo oooo. her parents originally arrived in cleveland but they wanted to settle down in a small boring and safe town and chose sherwood
-not a fan of writing. though she'll practically vandalizes any surface with mindless or abstract doodles, she doesn't really like including words. like shes hiding something too incomprehensible for her to communicate. she'd rather you not understand what's going on in her work. also finds way too often that she wants to retract words once others acknowledge them
hides her art and doesnt really like it when people find it and try to make sense of what she draws, even if what she draws is perfectly normal and acceptable in their eyes. she always feels like shes been carrying something gross in her that people would eventually find out and pick on her for once they get close to her, and her art is very personal.
-quiet kid / art kid. pretty much outcasted. occasionally bullied but nobody ever gives her any special attention
she'll use any medium she wants for her art, even if shes not very experienced/good with it. paper mache. sowing. clay. painting. music. etc. mostly never brings it up to anyone because its how she expresses her thoughts and ideas which are personal to her and shes a pretty private girl. has a lot of projects which are fucked up cuz they're shittily made
she does like to doodle cartoons in school alongside taking notes. has a few OC's
-addicted to her headphones n walkman. her music taste sometimes ventures into equally abstract areas as her art. yes her parents have tried to confiscate it before
Now that the whole town is just suddenly okay with Mr. Sweeney and Mr. Kelly being together I'm sure my parents would be sooooo happy to have you for dinner again.

What have they got to do with the huge grudge your parents hold against me? Hell, what even is there to hold against me in the first place?! After all, I’m not exactly the worst person on earth. (well, maybe I am.) Go tell them to change their minds or something, I miss coming over :-(
Your ears are filled with static. Everyone's been going around saying how they practically made out at their sons funeral. Right under the cross, in front of the caskets, UNDER THE PREACHERS- Priests? -PRIESTS NOSE. Not that I'd know, I didn't go. And everyone just applauded, or something. It sounds fake, but it's true.
And I dunno, people don't hold HUGE GRUDGES for no reason. And last time I remember, my parents were pretty vocal about their problem. Don't you recall? Or is the static leaking into your brain? Or are you distracting yourself so hard by remaining so childish that you haven't fully grown up and learned that people have predisposed notions and ideas about taboo things? Do you want to play dolls with Martha Dunnstock while you're at it?
And chill. They liked your manners, at least. Maybe I can still salvage this.
This is the first I’m hearing about it! God forbid someone doesn’t wanna get involved in all that chaos, I'd gladly have my ears filled with static if it meant I didn’t have to hear another word about everything. Good for them, though. And not that I’m expecting everybody to suddenly turn around and be nice to each other, but wanting basic human decency is far from childish. Don't you think it’s pretty unfair to have notions like that in the first place? It’s a waste of time for people to go out of their way to judge others for the stuff they do. But if your parents happen to have.. that impression of me, I don’t think there’s anything we can do about it. Maybe the whole funeral situation will turn it around, but the chances of that aren’t looking great.
Well if I wore a traffic cone on my head, I think I'd deserve some stares and questions, y'know. We're curious and social creatures, after all. But we gotta retain some sense of order and balance, or else everyone would be uniquely crazy.
And yeah, my parents don't go to church anyways. But I'll tell my mom you miss coming over. She's less hard than my dad. It'll work better if I make some crazy story about your mom not seasoning her cooking or something. Then she'll feel obligated to let you come.

I’m not even joking though I have like staaacks of charcoal chalk etc.. I should probably re organize my room too it’s been a mess since it’s also sort of my art studio as well..
I’m also debating if I should go to prom.. maybe. We will see, only time will tell.
Hey!! I couldn’t stop but notice that you’re also an artist!! I haven’t yet to find anyone on this… platform.. that’s an artist!! It’s so amazing to finally find someone!! Please tell me what’s your favorite art medium/materials to use? ;)
Aaand of course would you consider joining the art club? Unless you’re already a member and I don’t know…?

Layan stared for a moment, taken aback by her. . . personality? Mood? Sheer positivity? Enthusiasm for art? Her art was mostly ignored by her peers and teachers. She blinked.
"Oh uhm. Really anything I can grab from the bin next to the pencil sharpener. Whatever I can get my hands on. I'm not picky. . ."
