Anyone else think its interesting that the Curse of Achilles effectively puts Percy on level with the gods in terms of power and durability (or perhaps even more so) when considering every book before the last olympian, the gods voted on whether or not they should kill percy (and other children of the big three) because the power they hold and are capable of is far too great for the gods liking??? 

What if, they offered to make Percy a god not just as a reward for his heroic acts but as an attempt to once more gain control of him now that he has the curse of achilles – he would never be able to rebel because he would be, in essence, apart of them. 

If you can’t beat them, join them – or in this case, since we can no longer have the capacity to destroy him, he must become one of us.

Do you guys ever sit and think how fucked up Camp Jupiter is? Like no, honestly. Two of the main authorities were 15 years old. 15 years old in charge of an army. Do we even know how old Reyna is? Or how old was she when she became a praetor? Jason was barely 15 when he was chosen and we assume Reyna was already in power. Is she younger than Jason? Was she chosen to lead the Romans when she was FOURTEEN YEARS OLD? She has been in CJ for barely 2 years and she is already one of the maximum authorities at FOURTEEN/FIFTEEN YEARS OLD. Imagine a freshman in charge of Sophomores, Juniors, Seniors and College students. That’s Jason and Reyna with the legion.

Camp Half-Blood is not perfect but at least their maximum authority were adults, I mean an immortal centaur and a god that hates children, but still applies. Sure, there are Camp Leaders, Luke was one and then later Percy and Annabeth became one, but they are just the equivalent of Head Boy and Head Girl in Harry Potter, they are in charge of some classes (like other camp counselors, who are pretty much the equivalent of perfects, are too!) and probably help Chiron and Mr. D with stuff, but at the end of the day they are not real authorities.

There is also a massive difference between CHB and CJ: In CHB demigods usually didn’t last long, probably died before they turned 20 or even started college. Or if they managed to survive they never really went back to camp, so it makes sense 16-17 years old are the ones looking after campers (key word: looking after, camp leaders are NOT in charge of campers). Now, the whole deal with CJ is that is full of older demigods, so someone explain to me why the fuck they choose KIDS to lead them? There should be an age minimum to become Praetor (probably 30 years old) and Lupa should have more authority.

Imagine being an adult in New Rome, being in the legion for years, growing up in ranks, hoping to have a good rank and maybe in a few years you can be considered to be a praetor and then…this girl who has been in camp for less than two years and is like, a baby, is made praetor and is in charge of the army and then this boy, has his voice even changed yet? is also in charge of you. I’m just…Riordan why.

god will i ever stop thinking about the fact that annabeth admitted in mark of athena that she fell even more in love with percy the summer they all thought he was supposed to die at the hands of the prophecy and the whole summer they were still skirting around their feelings but neither of them would do anything because annabeth was scared of losing him just like she’s lost everyone in her life and percy didn’t want to let her down but then he did survive and he didn’t leave her and they started dating and she said it was the happiest four months of her life dating percy and then he was taken away from her just like she always thought he would and i can’t even imagine how she was feeling knowing the person she cared about more than anyone in the world was taken away from her and he might not remember her and her feelings just got stronger and stronger the longer they were apart but then they’re finally reunited and he’s telling her that the only person he remember, the only thing he remembered was her, and he’s telling her he wants to make plans for the future with her and despite the separation and anxiety and sadness and fear she had been feeling for the past six months, imagine how reassuring that felt for percy to say all those things to her and throughout all of mark of athena he just kept promising her he was going to come back and when she finally completes her quest to save the athena parthenos and the first thing he says to her is “it’s okay we’re together again” and she thinks to herself i love him for saying that because he knows her better than he knows anyone and then he still refuses to leave her and they fall into tartarus together and i think annabeth really knows how much percy loves her and knows her as person by the end of mark of athena because she’s always been a little worried and she tries to move past it but it takes a lot for her to trust but percy just proves time and time again that he doesn’t want to leave her, not if he can help it
