i think people really under sell the physical side effects of mental health disorders sometimes. like sure the depression and anxiety may be 'just in your head' but when what's in your head happens to disrupts your sleep schedule and prevent you from going outside regularly and eating consistent meals and exercising and generally taking care of your body. well it sure takes its toll huh.

there's something beautiful in the idea that everyone thinks differently and therefore experiences things like love differently, but there's also something so isolating about that... I'm unique and alone. We all are. This is especially true when the main way you experience attraction is queerplatonic. That can mean anything. No one has ever quite meant it the way I do and never will again. It makes me feel very special. It makes me feel a little tormented also.

It’s been several months since I’ve made this post and it’s still true that I am alone in my understanding of what love means, but I no longer feel tormented by this… it’s possible to spend an eternity learning to understand and be understood by someone else. It’s not possible to ever fully know how someone else experiences these things, but that gives you forever to learn about them, no end point in sight… that’s kind of awesome…

Supermassive Black Hole lends itself to soundtracking one thing and one thing alone and that is a strip club. Supermassive Black Hole is the most perfect strip club rock song I've ever heard. I've heard rock songs *about* strip clubs that feel less suited to a strip club than Supermassive Black Hole. I have heard songs where sex is explicitly described in the lyrics that feel less sexy than Supermassive Black Hole. Supermassive Black Hole is a song so disgustingly, flagrantly, enticingly slutty that I sometimes feel legitimately shocked that it was made by a band that most people make fun of for sounding like if Radiohead sold out after their first album. It is a crowning achievement in stripper music that may never be topped in our lifetime. It is best known for soundtracking the scene in the first Twilight movie where they play baseball.

I made a friend! Literally!

I finished this brushbuddy art doll earlier this week and he is very cute. It's got a wire armature inside and is fully posable, including the leather fingers and toes. (There are also magnets in the feet to potentially stick it to things later.)
