I keep thinking about how cool it would have been to have a cat like Fallenleaves that Jayfeather/Rock interacted with who was entirely out of their mind and spouting absolute nonsense,
I actually love this idea of an interaction before/during the Great War (with starclan vs dark forest vs clans) where they have to decipher some cryptic omen from the cat who is clearly off their rocker but somehow Jayfeather is just able to make sense of it

I maintain that the best summation of my feminist beliefs are that men and women are not fundamentally different. There are a few quantifiable differences if you average out every woman and every man, but they are not qualitative. And most of them are socially constructed, and would be fixed if we started treating men and women the same. Neither is inherently smarter, neither is inherently kinder, neither is inherently more stoic or stronger or angrier or softer. Everyone is obsessed with the differences between women and men, with finding them and creating them and distancing themselves from the "other half". It's fucked up

Little snippet of a larger fic i’m planning for The Man from UNCLE (2015)
this idea has been swimming around and I mostly just wanted to get it into the world (it end kinda abruptly rn, just bare with me)
“Honestly I’m surprised he didn’t blow your head off right there, eh Peril?” Napoleon had been rambling on about the mission for the last forty-five minutes despite what Ilya thought was a very pointed lack of engaging with his constant talking. Either Napoleon had not noticed or was continuing to directly spite Ilya’s silent efforts
Ilya walks into the study, content to read until Gaby finished her bit of the mission and came to collect them. No sooner had Ilya picked up his worn copy of *Russian author* that Napoleon’s new tirade began
“Really? Of course you choose such a depressing author.” Ilya ignored him and move to sit at the couch. He grumbles as Napoleon follows.
Ilya tries to keep reading, Napoleon keeps talking. Finally Ilya decides he’s had enough.
Ilya put the book down, and before Napoleon has a chance to make another comment, Ilya kisses him, his hand on Napoleon’s jaw as he pulls him in and Napoleon makes a small surprised noise before almost melting into the kiss, eyes closed in contentment. Ilya’s hand moves up to Napoleon’s head, fingers running through his hair and Ilya’s head tilts following Napoleon’s lips.
Eventually they pull apart slightly, barely inches away, catching their breathes. Ilya watched as Napoleon, eyes closed, leaned in again reaching his hand up to Ilya’s cheek, only for Napoleon to make a small confused sound as his hand finds only air.
Ilya had been slowly standing up as they kissed, discreetly maneuvering to retrieve his book from the coffee table before using the momentary break to quietly move to the chair on the far side of the coffee table, now kitty-corner to where Napoleon sat, eyes now open and hand grasping woefully in the open air.
Ilya stared pointedly down at his book, ignoring the confused sputtering of Napoleon.
It takes close to five minutes of rapid blinking and plaintive stares before Napoleon finally seems to conclude that Ilya had in fact kissed him, and was now using the chaos he just inflicted on Napoleon’s mind in order to read uninterrupted. The man was diabolical.
Napoleon tried to get a remark out but his mouth hadn’t quite caught up to his brain, and the only real word he manages to get out is a flustered,
“What?!”
Ilya just hums quitely, giving Napoleon an innocent glance.
“Something I can help you with Cowboy?” His years of KGB training allowing him to keep from smirking as he looked back down at his book.
Seemingly still not quite sure what had happened or even how it had happened Napoleon blinked a few times, stunned. Ilya relaxed slightly, allowing himself to smile as he realized his plan worked and he could finally read in some relative peace.
A few moments later Ilya glanced up as he realized Napoleon was no longer making sounds of bafflement and had gone altogether silent. Quiet had been the plan, but he knew the cowboy would not go silent without good reason.
Ilya quickly marked his spot in the book and found himself immediately pushed into the back of his chair, lips crashing into his as Napoleon’s hand roamed through Ilya’s hair. Ilya smiled as he breathed in Napoleon’s scent, warm and clean, like sweat and cologne.
“You’re an asshole Peril.”
“I have no idea what you’re talking about cowboy.” He bites Napoleon’s lip, relishing the small groan he got in response.
if they're gonna remake The Princess Bride, it should open with a kid sick in bed scrolling on his phone. his grandpa arrives with a gift--it's a DVD player with a disc already inside. grandpa hooks it up to the TV and presses play. and we all just watch the original 1987 film again.
"hilson would be canon in 2026" implies that there was ever any sort of plan or deeper intention with them beyond their canon friendship. which, just... is not true lol. like that wouldn't be the same show
what ever happened to people shipping noncanon ships and accepting it? now everything's gotta be somehow coded or implied or something and everyone gets so pissy when you rightfully disagree
Because you know they also wouldnt be able to make the sip in the way the fandom wants it to be, theres just no way we could have a ship like that and have it not become a major plot point and entirely disrupt the show
yea maybe the ship would be canon, but the show would not be house
