7 Things I Wish Parents Would Stop Teaching Their Children:
That nudity is inherently sexual
That people should be judged for their personal decisions
That yelling solves problems
That they are too young to be talking about the things theyâre already starting to ask questions about
That age correlates to importance
That interacting with someone of the opposite sex is inherently romantic
That the default for someone is straight and cisgender
I always get one-day small crushes whenever someone is really nice and helpful to me damn I get attached to people so easily

2015 started for our orchestra with a special concert for the 70th anniversary of the Holocaust Remembrance Day. âViolins of Hopeâ is the name of the collection of string instruments, that once were owned by inmates of the concentration camps, collected by the luthier Amnon Weinstein. The concert was very moving for everybody involved. Our double bass player Janusz Widzyk took wonderful photos of these violins. You can find more information on the concert and the exhibition here: http://www.berliner-philharmoniker.de/en/titelgeschichten/2014-2015/violins-of-hope/
my problem is that i like boys in theory but not in practice so if i see a cute boy iâm like âdamn i wouldâ but when faced with actually dating one iâm just like ânahâ
What's your opinion on violas
I really love the viola!!! I mean I play the violin (but I play it really badly lmfao does that even count as playing or is it just caterwauling) but personally I really like the deeper sounds a viola can offer and also the fact that the range can go all the way down to a C. I know a couple violinists that are like âoh the viola? just a rip-off version of a violin that canât go that highâ but I think itâs just a personal preference thing. And I like the viola also because my E string sounds terrible lol I rly need to get new stringsâŠbut like Iâd probably stick with playing the violin in an orchestra because the first violins get the melody donât hate me *runs away*
Idk I think I should just get a bowed instrument with 16372847262 strings that goes the three times the full range of a piano and more
[Music is ] most sovereign because ⊠rhythm and harmony find their way to the inmost soul and take strongest hold upon it . .

I donât think Mahler composed a solo voice part for this symphony, Mr. RattleâŠ
a few days ago I was in a drama rehearsal and I had a pair of heels on for one of my scenes and someone in my class turned round to me and said âyour legs look greatâ and I replied âthanks I grew them myselfâ I said that I said that to someone
I donât want this to be my legacy
omg LEGacy
I fucking punned myself I have gone full circle

Happy birthday, Gustavo Dudamel
me: what can possibly go wrong tho
anxiety: im glad you asked
Thereâs no point to a guy yelling, âHey sexy babyâ at me out of the passenger window of a car as it speeds past. Even if I was into creepy misogynists and wanted to give him my number, I couldnât. The car didnât even slow down. But thatâs okay, because he wasnât actually hitting on me. The point wasnât to proposition me or chat me up. The only point was to remind me, and all women, that our bodies are his to stare at, assess, comment on, even touch. âHey sexy babyâ is the first part of a sentence that finishes, âthis is your daily message from the patriarchy, reminding you that your body is public propertyâ.
My First Name Ainât Baby: âHey Babyâ and Street Harassment (via panda-escapades)
I feel like being a musician is a constant roller coaster ride between âIâm awesomeâ and âIâll never be good enoughâ with most of the time spent in the muddled middle practicing the same 3 bars over and over again and writing expletives in the margin of scores.
