Kill the white man (songs)
So I have this idea for a band and it's pretty much just an idea at this point but I've tried writing some songs and I'm gonna post them here along with my poems and other writing. The first will be a rewriting of my poem all they got is guns for us homeless folk, and this is a song I wrote of the same name as the band I'd like to make, kill the white man. I wanted to name the band that because a big part of who I am now revolves not only around my discovery of Hispanic and gender identity but also how those identities in the past, identifying as white, or at least thinking that my passing as white diminished my Hispanic-ness, and my being raised male, have shaped my world view and how I have to kill the idea of whiteness and maleness within myself as both identities, and places of privilege I must challenge. So here are the lyrics for my song, kill the white man.
Kill! Kill! Kill cries the white man.
With a culture so rich a history of hate. You lack a fucking soul and try and steal it from us. Your beating heart alone is a threat.
Kill! Kill! Genocide is the only language you have.
Spawned from our otherness. Built on our graves. Our battle won't end till the white devil is dead.
Kill! Kill!
-break-
Kill! Kill! Kill the whiteness.
Examine your privilege, know your fucking place.
Your either with us or against.
So kill! Kill the white man in your heart!
