Hello, Hi. We haven't met before but I am Jeyte (JT). And this is my new blog.
I am 20 years old at time of writing, I study Law at Oxford University and will soon become a Lawyer, more specifically a Solicitor.
I have lacked a lot of motivation and drive recently. I have struggled and struggled to gain that back. And this is one of the things I am trying to do to find my mojo again.
I need to be honest, this isn't my first Studyblr account, nor my second but rather my third.
I started my first account at 15 years old, I was in perhaps year 10 or maybe the start of year 11. You could find my Studyblr account somewhere till this day.
I created my Studyblr to keep driven, this community is a strong and determined community. One that help one another and one that has seen me and helped me grow.
I will not mention what my Studyblr account was for it is too cheesy but it's interesting going back to check what 15 year old Jeyte was like. Ambitious, Hardworking and Optimistic.
15 year Jeyte had dreams, dreams that he was willing to publicly share.
A dream, and I quote, to "pursue Knowledge, perfection and happiness. A hopeful Oxbridge student."
This is very interesting 5 years ago I had both tangible measurable goals and intangible immeasurable goals. Goals that one could say they have achieved one day and goals that one cannot achieve one day and lookback and say 'I did that' but goals one can merely aim towards.
5 years later, I am studying at the my dream university. My hard work was able to achieve that.
I set a goal and 5 years on my dream came true. This is a perfect example of how one could self-actualize their goals.
So here is to more dreams that I will aim towards and dreams that I will achieve.
1. I will graduate from Oxford.
I will work as hard as possible and do the best I can in the given circumstances.
I will also have a healthy experience at this university. I cannot come and kill myself for a degree. I will have a help routine outside academia that keeps me sane.
2. I will be a lawyer at a top law firm.
This may change. But this is my aim at the moment.
The photos attached to this post are some of my favourite of Oxford. A reminder that my dreams came true once and can come true again.
