The Howling (Series Master Post) [AO3]
An Archive of Our Own, a project of the Organization for Transformative Works
Fandom: Doctor Who (2005) [main emphasis on RTD era]
Pairing: The Doctor/Rose Tyler (will include Ninth, Tenth, and Eleventh Doctors at least, possibly more)
Rating: Mostly Teen, some chapters/excerpts Mature
Series Summary:
"The Eternals called it the Howling."
A sloooooow-burn take on Series 1-6 (at least), primarily following: a) the relationship between the Doctor and Rose Tyler and b) the impacts of the Bad Wolf and the Time War on all of reality.
Goes slightly AU at POTW, full-on AU at Doomsday (but not in a āRose staysā or āDoomsday just doesnāt happenā way, more of a make-worse than a fix-it so still quite angsty for a while), and hardcore AU around TSE/JE, but will largely stick to the major events of the episodes and fill in some bits in between.
Fluffy, angsty, hurt/comfort-y, etc.
Cannot promise that each individual fic has a happy ending, but CAN and DO promise that the series as a whole will.
Updates Tuesdays & Fridays, regular updates for individual works, occasional short break between works

Fun Snazzy Elements in This Series:
Rose Tyler absolutely has undiagnosed ADHD and I will die on that hill
Not 50th-anniversary compliant: Eighth Doctor was the War Doctor and Gallifrey was permanently destroyed
This author believes thereās no way a fully-human!Rose wouldāve survived POTW holding the Vortex energy for so long if mereĀ secondsĀ of it caused the Doctor to regenerate. So be on the lookout for interesting changes to Rose in this series, including
Bad Wolf as disability
Rose, Martha, Donna, Amy, and any other companions all get to be well-rounded characters with their own arcs and strengths and weaknesses, and we don't have to pit them against one another because in my fic we support the coexistence of multiple complex women who live different but intersecting lives with distinct experiences and possess the nuance to understand and acknowledge that :)
tooth-rotting fluff AND horrendous tear-inducing angst AND something that made a reader comment "i want to eat my hand" which I feel like is a ringing endorsement???
