Isn't it absolutely GORGEOUS that humans invented the term "having a heart," as a way to describe loving each other?

Like, you have this organ in your body and it's the reason you live and your blood pumping through him goes to every part of your body and if your heart doesn't function right you will need another human heart instead or you will die.

Humans have always humaned and i think that a heart is the most awesome expression of love we came up with.

I've been thinking a lot about the confusion crowley's wish caused in the Fandom. So I'd like to share a thought.

We see throughout the entirety of season 1&2 that aziraphale cares so deeply about people. He loves people so much, he eats their food and reads their books and raise their children. He watched them and FELL IN LOVE through them. He realized how much he loves crowley because two humans fell in love in front of him and by him.

And that still wasn't enough.

I mean, the love he has for crowley, which is a great one, wasn't above his love for people. At the end of season 2 he knew how much crowley meant for him and vice versa, but he still went to fix heaven. Crowley is the one who offered to simply run away and let God destroy the earth, on multiple occasions.

So when Aziraphale asked crowley at the end, "what do you want?" Crowley, infact, thought about how Aziraphale would genuinely never leave, never consider it even. So crowley said he wants to cease from existing, because dying is actually better for crowley than living without aziraphale. Which, as we know, is what would've happened if crowley asked for a place just for the two of them.

other reasons people don’t like caleb, as i saw your post:

caleb is 30 and ian is 18/19

caleb shits on ian’s past and the southside

asks ian to attend a family wedding purely to outage his homophobic family (this is after caleb made ian feel bad that he only wanted a “hook” up with caleb, who said he will only consider ian if they actually “date.”)

caleb isn’t honest about having HIV before sleeping with Ian

which is crazy as then he gets all sulky when ian is hesitant to talk about his sexual past (aka being a under age sex worker) with caleb in the room who he has only been dating for a few months

he calls ian “beauty in trash” which is just insulting

he thinks it’s ok to sleep around because it’s a woman not a man, and then shames ian for not wanting to also try sleeping with women (i agree the storyline is biphobic but caleb is shitty for cheating and being angry at ian for not accepting “it’s not cheating as it’s a woman” and for shaming ian for being just gay)

(these are the only ones i can remember. so i wouldn’t say a loving relationship, no)

Okay thank you so much, I didn't know Caleb was this old and the rest of the stuff upset me too - I don't like the way he treated Ian. But genuinely, I watched the episode where they talk about his bisexuality and it was awful. Thank you for taking the time to write all that❤️

i was barely on tumblr much until late 2024 and i just think it's really funny that we were really doing convergent evolution on the only dean is mary concept.

here's some more about it that i found in my notes...

so the thing is. dean puts on john's coat, you know, and he listens to john's music and he gives everything he ever had and he desperately wants to quit hunting but he shoves it down and he tries to be what john wants and what john needs, so he looks out for sam. but he can't be sam's father. he can't be john. so he fills up the gaps that john leaves. he cooks and he jokes will he cleans sam's cuts and he reads to sam and makes sure he goes to school and he takes care of john when he comes home from a hunt. and so dean fills up the shape of mary's absence. and john needs him to and he resents dean for all the parts of it that come naturally and he keeps needing him to do it.

but when we meet mary we find out she never cooked. she wanted to leave hunting but found out she didn't want to quit. she isn't soft or domestic. she doesn't wear aprons.

so what we are left with is that dean fit into the shape of the narrative of mary better than mary ever did.

and what can you do when you are more like your father's wife than she is.
