I have NEVER seen a more judgemental group of people until I went to a white church service. Growing up, I went to a Spanish Catholic Church filled with so much love. Last weekend, a friend of mine got married at her church and I sat next to a bunch or “Catholics” “real Catholics” who go to church every Sunday and pray before every meal and talk about how much they love their god. Well at this church (most of them when to a different church normally) the priest was from the Middle East. It was clear that he had just recently learned how to speak English. I sat next to these “good Catholics” and listened to them laugh and snicker and huff and puff at every word he didn’t pronounce the same way they did.

I sat there and wondered how a “catholic” could sit there and laugh and poke fun at a priest. Someone who learned this language to spend his life serving their god, to laugh at someone in gods home because they he pronounces words differently than they do. How dare they

This is the line that has gotten me through life.

It’s not even the fact of who won and who lost anymore. Its the fact that someone ran for president on a platform of racism and a vice president who is so far beyond anti- LGBT+ it’s disgusting. It’s disgusting that they won on a platform that brings us back 50+ years. And you know what? I don’t blame anybody for feeling the need to protest. Don’t call us babies for speaking out. If it was Hillary who had won, you would all be crying that it’s rigged. You will complain that people are destroying property but don’t acknowledge the fact that white KIDS are marching down their school hallways chanting “White Power!” We’re acting like babies, but what race burnt down houses when the supreme court ruled that whites and blacks could now share a bubbler? What race kept their children home from school when the supreme court ruled that separate schools for black children and white children was unconstitutional? Hispanics are “bringing drugs” into our country, but who’s buying them? I can name 15 white people to every one Hispanic person that I know personally who has/had a crack/cocaine problem. Hispanics are rapists but we won’t mention Brock Turner and David Becker and Austin Clem, just to name three among the millions. Hispanics are bringing crime but let’s not talk about Adam Lanza, responsible for the Newtown school shooting. Let’s not talk about Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold, responsible for columbine. Go ahead and tell me not all white people are like that. But guess what? Not all Hispanics are the same. Not all Muslims are the same. And if I remember history correctly, you all came over illegally, took other people’s land and destroyed their beautiful culture. Don’t talk to me about “illegals” and immigrants until you have lived in their shoes. Until you can’t drink the water on your property because it’s so contaminated. Until you can’t go outside after a certain time because you might get shot. Don’t tell me how the immigration system works until you have gone through it. Don’t tell me you are pro-life and then turn around and tell me that these peoples’ lives don’t matter and that they deserve what is happening to them in their country if you have never lived it. Until your children have to watch out for land mines on their way to get an education. Until you have been scared to light a candle after it gets dark. These “illegals” are just trying to stay alive and if that means coming to the United States, we should be proud that these people think our country is so great and can provide a new, better beginning for them and their families. They want to feel safe somewhere, they want to watch their children grow up and become educated. “Those who fail to learn from history are doomed to repeat it.” Remember that as you keep your blinders on and create your perfect white patriarchal society by taking a step back 50+ years.

We are not being babies by protesting. We are standing up for the lives of human beings. I have a voice and I will not shut up about it. My voice is just as important as the white man trying to talk over me.

Here's the thing about rape. Just because it takes someone years to come out and speak about it, doesn't mean it didn't happen. There is so much guilt and judgement that comes along with it. You don't always remember it all the way because it's just so traumatic. You have to look at your rapist every day and stay strong because they threatened your life if you dare tell anybody. You have to sit next to them at thanksgiving and smile and laugh with everyone when you just want to throw up with the thought that his hand might slide up your thigh in the middle of dinner. You have to hug him every time you see him because he's family and you have to show your respect. Even when he's not there, he's there. You close your eyes to go to sleep at night and he's there. You hear someone say his name and you cringe. Every minute of every day for the rest of your life, his image will always be in the back of your mind. And you can have a really good day and all of a sudden the thought jumps out to remind you it's there and you have to find the closest bathroom to cry in for two minutes and then put yourself back together and go on with your day. 10 years later you are still asking yourself why? You were a child and he took your innocence and you have to live with that every day of your life. When someone does finally decide to tell you, be there. They aren't lying. It takes everything to say those three words; "I was raped" and then a play by play goes through their mind and it's hard. And everyone's story is different. And don't say you understand because unless it was you, you don't understand. You don't understand the hurt they go through every day. You don't understand how hard it will be for the rest of their life to have an intimate relationship ever in their life. There will be times they'll cry during sex. There will be times when they need you to walk them to the bathroom in the middle of a movie. They go through depressive states that can take months to get out of. You don't understand unless you've experienced it.

Due to some recent very unfortunate events, I'm trying so hard not to post anything negative about my significant other, or anyone really, so my words don't get twisted and this shit show doesn't happen again, even went as far as deleting almost all my social networking apps on my phone but I do have one thing I need to get out: N O T H I N G pisses me off more than when I get O N E day a week to sit down and have an actually dinner, not from a cafeteria, not frozen shit, an actual day that I can S I T D O W N with my significant other and have a N I C E dinner and he decides eating dinner with me is not as important as playing video games, seeing his friend that he sees every night, or decides to go to bed at 6 pm instead of 11 like every other night. I'm so aggravated

Two nights ago I had a dream that I was at my memere's house (the way it's furnished now that my aunt lives in it) and she was there too and we walked around the house and when we got to what used to be her room, it looked exactly the same as it did before she passed. We sat on her bed with popcorn and I started to tell her about what has gone on in my life over the past five years And she told me about her adventures from as early as she could remember. We laughed and cried and oh god do I miss her so much. BUT GET THIS Travis and I are arguing as of like two hours ago and I went to sit on the porch all mad. A CARDINAL FLIES BY ME and has sat in the middle of my yard for the past two hours watching me. Didn't move when someone walked by, nothing. You can't say this is a coincidence

I'm all for having guns in your home LOCKED UP if needed for hunting or self defense or just to have one really but I am also for making it harder for just anyone to get a gun and I do believe that your mental health should have a lot to do with whether or not you can obtain one and if that bothers you, I'm convinced it's because you know you wouldn't be mentally stable enough to pass said examination
