#zutara #im screaming because it took us 20 years to figure out that they mustve had a similar conversation canonically #in the show their scene cuts after zuko says thats something we have in common #the next time we see them katara's like sorry i yelled at you before #there was absolutely some kind of conversation that happened in between #i always thought it was strange how forward zuko was when he told her he was a banished prince cursed to chase the avatar forever #and katara didnt acknowledge it #thats a HUGE reveal #to me that means he already told her that part of his story off-screen #otherwise she absolutely would've reacted #these two had a vulnerable conversation between the scenes and that explains why the shift in conversation is so abrupt on screen #which is one of the reasons katara offered to heal him #she didn't just hear he lost his mom and decide i should use my very powerful single-dose spirit water on my enemy #this offscreen conversation was a motivator for her olive branch #and it strengthened zuko's respect and trust in her #before he reverted and shattered it #AND WE FINALLY GET TO SEE THAT CONVERSATION
