Another thing I fucking HATE about that one Z/T post/anon is the implication that bigger boobs and hips implies a more mature body and by extent PERSON. Fucking gross

Beyond just discussing a 14 year old’s body in that way (I’m sure the anon didn’t mean to come across the way they did but I do still have to address that it’s weird to SPECIFICALLY point out her body), even if Katara did have big boobs and wide hips, it would not make her more mature or ‘adult’.

Larger breasts and wider hips do NOT equal maturity, especially when discussing children’s bodies. There are plenty of women who are full grown adults but are flat as a board and have narrow hips. That doesn’t make them children. On the flip side, a teenage girl having bigger breasts or wider hips than ‘average’ does not make her more mature. This is the excuse actual pedophiles use to and HAS WORKED because of how much people hate women and children. Girls with ‘more mature’ bodies are more likely to be dress coded in schools because they are being perceived in a sexual way despite not doing anything wrong. This disproportionately affects black and brown women, as we are seen as inherently more sexual because of colonialism and the history of black and brown people being sexually abused en mass in the prison system and during the slavery era of America and elsewhere.

Reading some posts and.... it looks like you wanted Aang to be punished for being an air nomad, a good kid and a pacifist. Like some of you are acting like if this kid who did lose everything and everyone didn't suffer enough. You all are acting like he had it easy, that he didn't have trauma because he had the audacity to have fun (pretending to be experts of trauma, like shut up people), that he didn't have survivor's guilt, that he didn't have any conflict....

Y'all are acting as if the genocide survivor of the series was "rewarded by the narrative" and that’s disgusting

I wish that Aang was UNEMPHATIC and AWFUL as certain people of THAT fanbase here keep saying he is, so he would have let Zuko die in the first series (with the approval of Sokka and Katara btw), he would have killed Ozai and probably also Azula and normal people in this fandom wouldn't be forced anymore to read nonsensical takes where THAT fanbase blatantly misinterpret canon/characters for shipping reasons

Sure, it would be a totally different series where those children are murderers and the cycles of hatred never ends, but who cares? Y'all already missed the point of this series and you have turned the genocide survivor into a villain and the oppressors into a misunderstood characters, so....
