Ultimate autistic fantasy. I don't know what other people got out of it; I guess that's why it's always had a notoriously autistic fanbase. I do love the theatrical style and the frenetic pace at which it was filmed which sometimes makes it feel like you're spectating an 8 year long improv class. You just don't get that in TV anymore. You can FEEL how they're treating everyone involved like hamburger meat—which is surely still the case with showbiz today it's just that you don't see all the rough edges these days I do like something about being able to *see* it. Reminds me of my own brief stint in the entertainment sector there's something so addictive about the way getting driven like that is killing you. idk I digress. I love the cheese of it all. Still there is this nauseating undercurrent of racism & sexism throughout this show made only worse by its lofty intentions. Have to revert to a really childish mindset to be able to watch it at all & it feels really bad for the soul.
