وَلَا يَظْلِمُ رَبُّكَ أَحَدًا
and your Lord does no injustice to any one.
[Surat Al-Kahf: 49]
The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “You will not be given anything after the word of sincere faith like wellness, so ask Allah for wellness.”
Musnad Aḥmad 11
“Don’t look to a person’s prayer nor his fasting, rather look to how truthful he is when he speaks.”
‘Umar ibn al-Khattab, Mawsu'ah ibn Abi ad-Dunya (pp. 233-234)
In trusting Allah, remember that what’s best for you might be what’s most painful.

Patience is about learning how to speak the words boiling inside you without burning your throat.

Allah’s plan is better than your dreams.

Her thoughts.
She looked up and saw nothing but air, He would be right infront of her, she’d be unaware, She looked to her side and feel emptiness there, The presence around her, she’d simply just bare. Physically enclosed but internally clear, Hearts beating so far yet bodies so near, Her fingertip touches his and they lock, The moment is fleeting as they run on the clock. He struggles as he looked into her eyes but can’t see, Her pupils show darkness, as black as the sea, He’s sightless by the murkiness in her deep eyes, Aware that it’s ending, yet clinging onto the prize, The disguise painted on her dull, tired face, He sees it, he knows it, he continues to chase, He loves her, her beauty, her inner, her core, The rage, the filth, when he tastes he wants more. Her face in his palm, it hurts him to release, Whilst the heart breaks for him, for her it gasped peace, It was never fulfilling enough for his soul, Unconsciously a thief when his heart, she stole, But with that was his pride, the reason for joy, To her he was a slave, for her he was a toy. Once she let go of him, her heart became dry, The day she looked up was the day he would cry, Her eyes didn’t look down for two long years, Hers dry and empty - his wet full of tears, Her heart a hard rock, his softer than snow, The amount which she hurt him, she didn’t know, But there then came a time when her gaze became loose, Her eyesight so high started to reduce, She finally came down and saw the world once more, And felt the difference this time when opening that front door, She tasted the emptiness, she smelt the regret, Now it was her eyes that had their turn at becoming wet, Because unconsciously he wrote his name in her heart, No matter how far she went, she’d always end up at the start. She looked at herself - her reflection was alone, Yet this time with thoughts of him in a whole ‘nother zone, And white it was crazy, it was a bittersweet truth, Painless but evident, like losing a tooth. She found him and enfolded him into her arms, She would never let him out of her palms, She looked into his eyes, he looked exactly the same, The time of pain she felt was a shame..
But letting go only hurt one side once more, And now it wasn’t her looking away at the floor, It was him who was careless and her who was hurt, It was her who was clinging to the back of his shirt, It was her who was crying when he didn’t care, It was her who would suffer when he wasn’t fair, It was her who was feeling like she had to wait, It was her who had fallen in love way too late.
People leave you. Allah doesn’t.

ربنا لا تزغ قلوبنا بعد اذ هديتنا
“Our Lord, let not our hearts deviate after You have guided us.” [Al Imran: 8]
This is one of my favorite supplications from the Qur’an. Don’t ever get comfortable with where you are spiritually and think you’ve done enough. Don’t ever think you won’t be subjected to things that will shake your faith. And don’t ever think that you are better than someone who is struggling.
