These gif sets are so fun to make, really pleased with how this project turned out; it's sort of a sequel/same universe and concept to my TBC one. It's fun to compare them, I think I've improved a lot in terms of editing/tweeting since I made it.

Might do another post showing off the backgrounds, as they're largely covered in the final, rip.

aahhhh, loved this warriors comic styles challenge done by @genderqueertree and @artaintfart and wanted to do a take featuring my own cat. She's a comic artist's nightmare, so translating her was a fun challenge !

I've wanted to make a series of aging Misty designs for a while now, I liked the idea of her growing "mistier" and faded as she aged, becoming entirely unrecognisable.

I like the general direction I took with these, but you can tell the youngest headshot was drawn a while ago with the style change, lol and I'm pretty rusty atm.

for the medieval au!!! might i offer the suggestion of hawkfrost as the three’s father?

I've definitely considered it, it would honestly make a good amount of sense! Hawkfrost is a fairly different, more outwardly generous/deceiving character in the au and Leafpool's political power as a bishop would make her an attractive target (maybe more sincere feelings develop over time, who knows).

I can imagine Squirrelflight's concern when she returns and both Bramble and Leaf are fully trusting of him, her honest mistrust driving a wedge between her and her loved ones, with the dissolution of TNP gang and suddenly Ashfur is one of the only ones still there for her.

My main problem is that I want all of the TNP cast (sans Stormpath, who deliberately leaves the narrative) to stay plot relevant and without Leafpool and the three, Crowfeather and Breezepelt just aren't as connected. My plans for him were to have Crow/Leaf secretly married; this would make the three his legitimate children and reveal Breezepelt as a bastard, making them political rivals as they have a bigger claim to his inheritance (which,, they don't want, but he's understandably insecure and also way more screwed over in the reveal)

But also Hawkfrost needs to have children that can eventually get involved in the River Kingdom's heir succession crisis, which I can't see the three touching honestly. Maybe he has a second litter, idk.

Poor Leafpool has terrible options, Crowfeather, Brambleclaw or Hawkfrost, rip.

I'm alivee and with another medieval cat family tree. It would work pretty well as a regular family tree as well I suppose, if you removed Longtail and his fancy hat.

Longtail and Sandstorm are siblings and he and Firestar are married; it's common for siblings to act as surrogate parents in the kingdoms, but Sandstorm acts as a third/equal parent to Leaf and Squirrel, which is considered unconventional. I still don't know who the three's dad is btw, probably just Crowfeather at this point.

I thought it might be cool if instead of tattoos the kingdoms used branding to mark themselves, so Leafpool has a brand to mark her as an ordained bishop/cleric. Would this be safe or possible, surely not but the au has dragons so what do I care.
