Scumbag Blues || Abel & Colton
Colton practically ran out the door as soon as his shift at the garage was over. Business had been ridiculously slow and on top of that the eldest Belfront was slightly hungover. Therefore, the only way to end an uneventful day was by doing something eventful. With the boys spending some much needed time with Blair, Colton found himself heading down the familiar route on his harley. On days like this, and really any day, there was really only one person Colt wanted to spend some time with.
After parking his bike in the driveway, Colton let himself into Abel’s house. It was a known fact that the Belfronts lacked common courtesy and had a tendency to completely ignore doorbells. “Honey, I’m home!” he called, making his way into the living room where he found Abel sitting peacefully on the couch, beer bottle in hand. Plopping down on the couch next to his cousin, Colton reached over and took the beer from Abel before bringing it to his lips and taking a drink from it. Abel did always buy the best beer.
"Tell me you don’t have any plans tonight," he began, handing the beer back to the other wolf. "Work was shit. Blair has the boys and I don’t feel like bailing Claire out of jail tonight." The rest was pretty self explanatory. Tonight, Abel and Colton were going to fuck shit up. Again.
Abel was high as fuck; as if that were anything new. It would be more astonishing to people nowadays if he were sober. Abel was just lucky he had a job where he didn't have to go in and sit at a desk; or really even interact with anyone. Being a song writer meant he got to sit at home and be high and drink beer as long as he got the right amount of good songs sent in by the end of the week.
Today had been a rather productive day, despite the fact that he was high as a kite. He'd finished one song and was half way through another when he heard the rumbling of Colton's bike in the driveway. Now would have been the time were Abel tried to comb his fingers through his hair and look somewhat presentable for his brothercousinboyfriend; but he was just a little too high for that. The beer certainly wasn't helping the situation either.
And then Colton dropped down beside Abel and swiped the beer from his hand. Abel blinked a few times as Colton spoke and then grinned at his own private joke before chuckling out, "You got in here real fast." When Colton placed the beer back in his hand, he took another swig from the bottle before sitting up and placing down the pen that had been in his other hand atop the papers he'd been scribbling lyrics onto. "So, what are we gonna do? Start a bar brawl, set somethin' on fire? That's more Rory's card, but that doesn't mean we can't do it, too."

Timing Is Everything || Harley & Abel (closed)
Abel was an asshole. He'd always known this. But he was feeling it particularly today. Probably because he'd finally sobered up after his week long stint of back-to-back highs. He'd been angry and hurt; and he just hadn't wanted to face reality. He'd finally come clean to Harley and confessed how he felt; and it had backfired in his face, just like he'd known it would. He didn't blame her though. Who in their right mind would want to be with a drug addict, no-worth asswipe like him? Harley certainly deserved better.
And that was what had spurred him to go see her. To show her that despite what had been said - and how broken he knew he was on the inside - they could still be friends. He'd swung by the local bakery and picked up Harley's favorite before finally heading her way.
He felt drowsy and lethargic as he pulled into her driveway and pushed down the kickstand on his Ducati. He combed a hand through his unruly sandy blonde hair before standing and swinging his leg over the bike. He grabbed the box of treats from where he'd strapped it to the backseat, then headed up and knocked on the door.
"Harley?" he called through the door, "It's Abel. I come bearing treats. Your favorite, if my memory serves." With all the drugs he'd done, he wasn't sure that his memory was very clear anymore. After all, he could hardly tell the difference between reality and hallucination anymore.
I messed up my entire life because I got high. I lost my kids and wife because I got high. Now I'm sleeping on the sidewalk and I know why. (why man?) yea heyy, - cause I got high.

You know I’ve had close calls when it could’ve been me. I was young when I learned just how fragile life can be. I lost friends of mine, I guess it wasn’t my time. Timing is everything.
And I could’ve been a child that God took home. And I would’ve been one more unfinished song. And when it seems the rhyme is hard to find, that’s when one comes along just in time.
Cause you can be hurt by love, or healed by the same. Timing is everything.
And it can happen so fast, or a little bit late... Timing is everything.
Abel Belfront || 25 years old || Werewolf || FC: Garrett Hedlund
Traits
(+) Loyal, Audacious, Tenacious (-) Reckless, Imprudent, Obstinate
Personality
Abel is definitely a conundrum. He is both kind, and careless. He is both dependable, and irresponsible. He is absolutely the best friend you can have, and the biggest problem you’ll ever have to deal with. You can never guess from one second to the next which side of him you’re going to get. To most, he’s just a fun loving guy looking for his next high, his next thrill. And honestly, that’s the best way to view him.
Abel has always been a dependable man. But only to those that he views as worth his time. His family has always been among that list of people; but very few get added to that list and stay there. He’s had the same group of friends since he was a child, and though he’s an amiable man, he doesn’t make friends easily. Mostly because he doesn’t try too awfully hard.
And after all, who needs friends when one could just get high and be perfectly content alone?
Biography
"Growing up Belfront" should be synonymous with "Becoming a trainwreck". For most of the time when people look at the Belfronts (either singularly or as a whole), it’s a general consensus that they’re all bat shit insane in one way or another. As a child, and even into his teenage years, Abel seemed to have escaped the true craziness of the family genes. He was a bit of a troublemaker, sure. It was hard not to be when you’re related to the people he is.
But the thing about Belfronts that often times gets dismissed is that - at the core - most of them are very good people. Loyal, compassionate. And Abel still to this day is all of those things. But in his younger years, it was far more prominent. He was a dependable friend; spent almost every minute with either his family, or his group of friends which consisted of Teagan Emerson and the Keventry siblings. The problem was, he had fallen in love with Harley Keventry - and this, eventually, would be his undoing.
For when Harley and Abel’s cousin Jackson took to dating, Abel felt something inside him break. It was his heart; but it was something he didn’t even try to fix. Instead, he took to the bottle to medicate away the pain. And then, shortly after… Harley’s very father - the Packmaster at the time - offered V to all of them. It didn’t take much for Abel to cave in. And soon, he was very well addicted. It was there that his true drug problems took off. It didn’t matter where he got the high from, but he was always chasing it. Even once Everett had taken over the pack and absolutely forbidden V being used by any pack members, Abel found himself agreeing to quit that one particular substance, but it led him to have to more fervently chase his high elsewhere.
Despite his heavy drug abuse, Abel has managed to maintain his friendships. High or not, if his phone rings, he answers. And if someone needs him, he’s there. The only place his drug use seems to trouble him is holding down a job. He has flitted from job to job over the years before finally giving in and going into a labor position with the family construction company. With no ambition to rise beyond where he is, he simply does his job and goes home. His work isn’t spectactular, but it’s enough to keep him from getting fired. Helps that he shares the last name of the man who owns the place, he supposes.
