Lmao if this is the vid on tiktok about the guy who's like who's even rooting for George, I was in the comments fighting for George life like hes my close personal friend😭. But that kinda content pisses me off in general because why would any of the other drivers root for Kimi or George anyway (apart from Alex and maybe Ollie (I'm not too sure if Kimi and Ollie are even close anymore but) ?) like they're competitive athletes who for sure are all selfish and self centered AF. They're all rooting from themselves untill it becomes mathematically impossible and even then. Like I bet most of the drivers are hoping the mercs take each other out😭. The drivers genuinely seem annoyed at Merc dominance tbh. Like I'm sure Alex is rooting for George but only because he knows he has no chance in that godforsaken Williams.

A lot of male fans will decry rpf and fanfiction in general and then write their own under the guise of discourse.

I do find it interesting though that some people have this weird visceral hatred of George based purely on who they perceive he is on a personal level, and yet Kimi very much is the exact person they all hate George for being?

This weird painting of Kimi Antonelli as some kind of against all odds underdog when he's yet another financially privileged nepobaby with the familial connections to steamroller through the traditional barriers to progress that many young people face with motorsport? Yes, he's fast, but he's been afforded with the tools from a very early age to learn how to be fast? He's very much the F1 equivalent of an "industry plant".

And this idea that people are rooting for Kimi purely because they think George "deserves" the pain of losing as some punishment for wanting to succeed but somehow in the "wrong" way... its very emblematic of the way so much of society is motivated by sadistic malevolence these days??
