All my headcanons and stuff on my humanstuck Omegaverse stuff and basically just collecting all my thoughts in one place. If you can't tell by my ugly colour scheme, this was going to be EriSol focused and then I realised I didn't have enough to say.

Some signs that a dynamic is going to present soon? (so basically something like stages of puberty?)

Hello! Sorry for the late response, I got home and passed out. I”m constantly tired.

Some of these can work for “what would happen before a Heat or Rut.” Since presenting is when a Dynamic has their first heat/ rut and gaining a  more adult scent to them. 

Here are some, but not limited too, signs. 

Omegas

A couple of days in advance, they  may have a fever / become overly warm.

May not eat anything the day before.

Their scent is odd.

Kind of on the edge, jumpy.

Sensitive to another dynamic’s scent.

A slow, but subtle weight gain. Not a whole lot, just a couple of pounds.

May start to produce slick.

Betas

Their weight may fluctuate. 

They can become very emotional, getting upset at the smallest thing.

Abdominal cramps if going into heat, may or may not produce slick.

Can be more turned on than usual. 

Produce an odd scent.

Sensitive to another dynamic’s scent. 

New found body hair.

Alphas

They can be temperamental. 

They’ll scent everything, and then go back and re-scent it. 

New found body hair.

Sensitive to the cold. 

Will acquire an odd scent.

Sensitive to another dynamic’s scent. 

After they present, they will have a new adult scent to them, and when another head / rut comes along they will not grow more body hair.  Just wanna put that out there lol    I could have added acne, but no one likes that and I don’t want the dynamics to have it either.

Can you go into more detail on how the different dynamics would react to non-consensual scenting? Also different pairs like beta/beta or omega/alpha. Would their reaction change based on the dynamic that is doing the scenting to the other?

The Dynamics Reacting to non-consensual scenting.

Alphas

They’d be surprised, confused. 

Which may turn into aggression.

They may shove, yell at, growl at their offender.

This non-consensual scenting, an be seen as the offender asserting their dominance. 

Thus, they may start fighting.

their own scent will give off a very angry, bitter smell.

if they are with friends/family, they let this Alpha handle it on their own, it would just make them more upset if they stepped in.

Beta

Of course, they’d be taken aback.

Probably made speechless.

But once they find their words, be prepared to get reprimanded.

They wont’ resort to violence.

Once done scolding they will leave and surround themselves with familiar scents.

They’d feel disturbed, and unsettled, agitated, something is off, they have to fix it.

They have to smell like themselves again.

Betas will give off a stale scent.

Omega

They might cry. 

They will give off an unsettling scent, like a burning smell.

This unsettling scent will last until they feel better.

This will alert surrounding dynamics of something is wrong. (Can apply to other dynamics)

If they are with friends/family, a familiar Alpha or Beta will outwardly defend their Omega, while with familiar Omegas would just go straight to scenting their upset Omega member to comfort them. 

Once, home, they may seclude themselves to their room/nest where scents are familiar and they feel safe.

I believe each reaction would be slightly different, since everyone is different no matter what the dynamic. However, there are similarities.

Dynamics reacting to either the same dynamic or another dynamic non-consensual scenting.

Alpha/Alpha

 Aggression, fighting, asserting their dominance. 

They may start to scent/re-scent their pack members or items.

Alpha/Beta

Confused, offended.

Would growl at the Beta.

Show slight physical aggression.

Make themselves seem bigger to show that they are the dominate dynamic.

Alpha/Omega

Taken aback, surprised, offended.

They will growl, and appear even bigger. Causing the pushy Omega into submission.

Beta/Alpha

Will reprimand the Alpha.

Betas won’t even let the Alpha have a say.

They will let off their stale scent the whole time. 

They will want to surround themselves with familiar scents.

Beta/Beta

Probably become a shouting match, fighting with words.

Will want to be separated from them.

Probably treat themselves to a special meal. 

Scent their pack members and items.

Beta/Omega

Separate themselves from said Omega.

Confused, taken aback.

Omega/Alpha

Cry, give off their scared burning scent.

Seclude themselves to pack members and their nest.

Omega/Beta

Give off their scared burning scent.

Give the cold shoulder for a while.

Get this Beta away from them.

Omega/Omega

Most likely won’t give off the burning scent.

Surprised.

They will scent/re-scent pack members and items.

A side note: When I say “confused”, I mean that it’s uncommon for a ‘lower’ dynamic to scent a ‘higher’ dynamic. As if, “why would they do that???”

Ωmegas at work

On average are paid less than alphas and betas, are less likely to receive promotion, less likely to be hired into senior positions, and less likely to be given responsibilities seen as ‘challenging’. 

They are more likely to have their wardrobe commented on (whether or not their job includes a uniform) and receive more resistance than alphas and betas when negotiating for promotion. 

These discrepancies are especially pronounced for omegas of colour. 

Those in better paid professions may be given the same amount of annual leave as their colleagues, but in practise it amounts to as much as two weeks less, since they will have to use that time on heat. 

The proliferation of straight white alphas in positions of authority in business means that alpha employees will rarely be chastised for their personal life interfering with their work (ie. when it’s omega related.)

Whereas omegas will often be made to feel in danger of losing their job if, for example, their over-protective alpha keeps swinging by, or they need to take extra days off for a bad heat. 

It is common for omegas in work to feel invisible; that their contributions are not being recognised, and their ideas not credited. 

But omegas’ greater share of home and family duties (than their alphas) outside of work often means they will be willing to curb their ambitions. 

This imbalance of work/life responsibility is often more pronounced after an omega has taken maternity/paternity leave, when they will continue to do the tasks they were doing at home, but in addition to their work. 

It is illegal to discriminate against employees on the basis of sex or marital status. 

Though this is the case in America, there are still notable exceptions. One such exception is the controversial ‘Honkers’ chain of restaurants, whose young attractive omega waitstaff are required to don skimpy uniforms and wear their hair short, or tied up, in order to show off their bite-free necks. (One side effect of this is that Honkers has gained a reputation as a rough brand, since deluded alpha customers will often pick fights over the staff.)

Due to the inequalities they often face, many omegas find it easier to pass for beta in work when possible; taking suppressants, wearing scent masks and beta styles of clothing, even altering their posture or demeanour.

-Omegas making nests when they’re anxious, or sad, and resting in it until their alpha gets home. 

-Alphas making their omega lay in their nest when they get stressed about something. 

-Pregnant omegas spending months perfecting their nest before they give birth. 

-An alpha getting really excited when their Omega invites them to cuddle in their nest for the first time. 

-Omegas making their alpha scent new blankets and pillows for their nest. 

-An alpha and omega bringing home their newborn pup and immediately cuddling with it in their already made nest. 

-An omega building a nest in preheat and stealing all of their alphas good sweatshirts.

What is ABO anatomy like? Like I read fics sometimes with the ABO universe but I still don't understand a lot of how everything is set up

Honestly, I feel the vast, vast majority of ABO AUs don’t really get into it. Details of anatomy and such probably aren’t the focus of many fics and there’s no need to get into too much detail, so a lot of it is Mystery, and whether the individual author of that specific fic has explanations is really up to them ^ ^;

My own AU though, DOES have detailed explanations for how ABO (technically ABO+) works, including anatomy, reproduction, social impact, and even vague evolutionary reasoning why it’s a thing in the first place. Most if not all of it won’t apply to the majority of other people’s ABO AUs out there, but I, like you, wanted explanations at least for my own purposes. Alpha/Beta/Omega+ Dynamics - Extended World-Building Post

Any headcanons on Omegaverse porn industry? The types of films they make, the kinks and fetishes they'd service, the storylines they'd have, etc?

Honestly I have too many ideas for this haha

Omegaverse Porn HC’s:

-Lots of pregnancy and/or lactation kinks. Alphas love to see omegas with swollen pregnant bellies, and it’s a turn on for a lot of them. There’s a lot of porn between Alphas with huge knots and omegas who are heavily pregnant, maybe even with twins or triplets.

-All Alpha porn stars have big cocks and even bigger knots. They’re lusted after by many omegas for their virility and have fathered more than a few children by several omegas. Meanwhile, omega porn stars are usually always on birth control, but never supressants. They may even take something that makes their heat last longer so they can make more videos where they’re pouring slick and begging for a knot.

-Knotting/bonding is definitely huge in Omegaverse porn. However, not everyone can do this, because bonding between an Alpha and omega causes affection and feelings of possession. This is bad when both parties are porn stars, who sleep with many other people. Knotting/bonding porn is almost exclusively done by monogamous couples. This kind of porn is highly sought after because the omega is less likely to be taking birth control when with their mate, so they could become pregnant.

-I can certainly imagine that BDSM is very popular in Omegaverse porn, with the natural dominance or submission of Alphas and omegas, respectively.

-Omega on omega is something that Alphas love to watch, especially when both are in heat and are fucking each other with knotted dildos to try to satisfy themselves.

-Omegas like to watch Alpha solo-play, because it would feel like the Alpha is touching themself for them. It’s more intimate and erotic, especially with dirty talk. There would be a lot of amateur porn of this type. Perhaps an Alpha makes solo-play videos while in rut, and this triggers an omega viewer’s heat, ans they meet up? I can imagine more than a few couples who met in these circumstances

Also there’d be storylines such as-Omega in heat gets bred by strange Alpha-Alpha/omega couple bond -Alpha knots pregnant mate And et cetera!

Character dynamics

Unlike some omegaverse stuff, I’ve got betas as less common than omegas and alphas, as you can see. Males are split abo 3:1:1 and females are split abo 1:1:3. If you disagree with these then there’s not much I can do about that and I’m sorry. Can’t really justify them too well, it’s just what my brain decided. Not all of these characters are particularly happy about their dynamics, and some think they should have presented differently, but there’s not really anything that can be done about it.

Alphas: Sollux, Karkat, Vriska, Equius, Gamzee, Feferi Kankri, Porrim, Horuss, Kurloz, Cronus Jade, Dirk

Betas: Tavros, Kanaya Rufioh, Meenah Rose, Dave

Omegas: Aradia, Nepeta, Terezi, Eridan Damara, Mituna, Meulin, Latula, Aranea John, Jake, Roxy, Jane

Education

In this verse, omegas present at 14/15 and alphas present at 13/14 (generally, it can happen a lot later or earlier). Nobody is sure about betas, they just realise they’ve presented when their ability to smell other scents gets stronger.

Because of these ages, education can be and is affected by how people present. In the UK, this means everyone does GCSEs, which are taken at age 15/16, and then after that they must choose between college and a-levels.

(I am afraid I have literally no knowledge on how education works outside of the UK. So this will be focused on that.)

A-levels are essentially viewed as a ‘proper’ education, and both betas and alphas are expected to do this so that they can get good jobs in the future. Omegas will sometimes do this as well, and often actually perform better than everyone else, as they are quite intelligent, despite the other dynamics saying otherwise.

College is mainly for omegas and sometimes beta females, as courses such as cooking and childcare and general life skills are available. College isn’t even available to alphas, as it’s not good enough for them as an education. Being caring is not considered a trait alphas need.

Because of this separation, if someone hasn’t presented by the end of their GCSEs, they will generally go to sixth form to do a-levels, unless it is very likely they will present omega, or if they’re doing badly in school anyway.

University is mainly alphas, a few betas and very few omegas, who are often berated for not being a good omega and having children. These omegas will often get prescribed suppressants, so that their education isn’t disturbed by heats, and they can often pass as betas, even if they are a bit short. Omegas can’t be prescribed suppressants until a year after presenting, due to health reasons and letting their hormones balance, generally this isn’t an issue, but for late presenting omegas, who are often the ones most likely to take this education route, as they will have been doing a-levels as if they were an alpha, and are often from high families, this lack of suppressants can present issues, especially if they aren’t bonded.

How Relationships Are Viewed

This is all possible to people dating relationships in Omegaverse. Poly relationships are more or less acceptable, although how accepted they are depends on the actual dynamics involved. Any pairing that can have biological children is expected to choose that over adopting. If medical reasons mean they must adopt, priority goes to “ideal” pairings, eg alpha x omega or beta male x beta female. When aid is mentioned, it means that alpha females require special medical care and aid to carry children, and omega males require special aid to have sperm capable of making children, or even artificial insemination as they have no knot to aid pregnancy. This aid is readily provided but frowned upon as it means they’re from an “untraditional” relationship, although they’re at least seen as better than those who can’t have children at all (exception, beta same sex relationships, who can’t have kids but nobody cares)

There's really no huge idea of 'gay' or 'lesbian.' The words exist but are rarely used, and it is much more likely someone will just call something queer.

Alpha Male x Alpha Male - looked down upon for letting someone dominate them, gets called gay or asked “but who tops” far too much. Can’t adopt as they are considered an unstable relationship, even if bonded (you can give as much proof as you want otherwise, they’ll still say it) Alpha Female - looked down upon, can be called queer, can have biological children but need aid, the woman is frowned upon for letting herself be dominated, even if she really doesn’t. Can adopt children if wanted, most likely queer/non-ideal couple to be given children, as it’s considered they’ll have a good life Beta Male - called gay, as they can’t breed, frowned upon, can adopt, easily accepted if they’re bonded Beta Female - perfectly acceptable, but will be asked “but wouldn’t you prefer an omega” Omega male and omega female - equally acceptable, both are seen as ideal for an alpha male

Alpha Female x Alpha Female - called lesbian, can breed with aid, looked down upon for letting someone dominate them. Allowed to adopt, especially if bonded Beta Male - very bad, it’s assumed the alpha is letting herself be dominated by the beta, very looked down upon. Will probably be called queer. Very unlikely to be allowed to adopt. The alpha in this case is assumed to be the mother figure, and therefore get appropriate aid so she can have biological children. Beta female - acceptable, but asked if she’d prefer an omega. Very easy to adopt, no bonding required. Omega male and female - ideal

Beta male x Beta male - called gay, not as much as alpha or omega gays, as nobody really cares about what betas do past other betas. Can adopt pretty easily, especially if bonded. Basically no more discrimination than your average gay in your average non gay hating area Beta female - ideal Omega male and female - considered greedy, as those are “meant to be for alphas” and it’s “not like you can please them properly anyway”

Beta female x Beta female - called lesbians, although noone cares much, no more discrimination than your average lesbians in your average non lesbian hating area, can adopt easily, especially if bonded. Often approached by both as alpha and beta males for threesomes, and occasionally alpha females Omega male - assumed she’s letting herself be dominated by an omega, hugely frowned upon. No adoption, as she’s expected to be the mother. Could be called queer. Omega female - Could be called queer. Can’t have children so looked down upon, unlikely to be allowed to adopt although bonding helps

Omega male x Omega male or omega female - called gay or queer, needs aid for biological children, considered a “waste” of two perfectly good omegas, as biological children are possible, using aid is expected over adopting. Very often approached by alphas for threesomes

Omega female x Omega female - called lesbians, no chance of biological children, considered a “waste” of two perfectly good omegas, almost exclusively not allowed to adopt, as “they’re omegas, how can they be satisfied without dick?” And they’re expected to have short lasting relationships. Often approached by alphas and beta males for threesomes.
