It took me a while to formulate how exactly I felt about this, and well… I feel as though there’s a huge problem here. The mom is completely ignoring the fact her son may be in fact saying he feels shit about his own body and wants recognition of a lot of things guys need to have to be deemed “attractive.” Not only that, but instead of recognizing her son may be having some body image issues she proceeds to berate and verbally abuse him over the internet for everyone to see when it’s probably him feeling shit about himself to begin with. The spiel at the beginning “don’t do anything for you” also comes the plum fuck out of nowhere and feels like her own insecurities as a mother coming through when it’s completed unrelated to the qualifications of women’s beauty in the shared picture. Not only that but she judged HERSELF unattractive while also COMPLETELY ignoring the list on the left and how that might correlate with someone trying to say “hey I feel kinda ugly you guys have it okay” (which is also wrong, there are a lot more standards for women’s beauty than BMI but she never fucking talks about that.) He shared from that joke meninist blog, that’s on him, but that doesn’t invalidate the importance of recognizing beauty standards pushed onto men and how it might effect someone who either shared it as a joke or seriously wants conversation about it. Also why the fuck do you want your son to think you’re attractive in a sexual sense? That’s fucking gross. And BLACKMAILING your son with this shit? Way to be a supportive mother you piece of shit person. How old is her son? Is he of marrying age? Is this a marriage in theory? Is that her son in the picture there? The fact so many people are APPLAUDING this behavior and saying how they want to emulate this piece of shit of a person is also equally infuriating. Yeah, sure, insult your fucking child on the internet and promise to get in the way of ANY love they’ll have in their lives due to a post they either shared as a joke with meaning or as a sign that they don’t feel too hot about themselves. Fuck you and fuck everyone who supports this type of behavior. Your outrage over an admittedly WAY too short of a list of things that define beauty in women does not excuse your complete disregard over the other spectrum. Oh my god guys I’m screaming. My parents decided to be extra racist today and drag me to Cracker Barrel for lunch. I couldn’t protest because I was in the middle of an age reversion and was currently sexually identifying as a really hungry 8 year old. Anyway I sat down and I see all of these white people eating their food racistly until I spot not one but TWO black families eating in this racist hell hole. I can’t even imagine how uncomfortable they must have been just trying to eat with all this southern racism around them. I took it upon myself to approach them to try to help them escape so they wouldn’t have to deal with anymore white racist bullshit. I told them that they should leave for their own safety before they’re attacked and would you believe they got mad at ME for trying to help them?? They kept saying stuff like, “we’re just trying to enjoy a good meal”. They didn’t realize how much danger they were in and I was just trying to help them against this racial bigotry. Their refusal to leave the racist environment told me they had internalized racism which is one of my triggers. I just fucking lost it and ended up on the ground screaming and wheezing. The black families called the manager over and then my parents yanked me out of the Barrel of Crackers then the whole restaurant clapped. I guess white privileged racism wins again and I’ve been screaming ever since

Manchester church offers second baptisms for transgender Christians

Transgender baptisms are to be offered for the first time in the UK, at a church in Greater Manchester.

Transgender Christians who were baptized under a name that isn’t truly theirs now have a chance for a second baptism. 

At the New Chapel Unitarian and Free Christian in Manchester, England, officials have agreed to baptize trans people living as their true selves.

Jean Clements, the church’s worship leader, proposed the change after meeting a couple who had a transgender child.

The church was moved to make a change in order to help those in the same situation.

Mrs Clements said: “I felt saddened by the fact that this family were being shunned by many mainstream churches.

“However, when the family came to New Chapel, the congregation welcomed them with open arms. ”

I think it’s hilarious how people with really low self esteem, mainly the ones who can’t handle that someone with the same race or gender might have different opinions on social justice issues, try to lecture you on “loving yourself” after you disagree with them on those types of issues.
